Driving and parking within the castle was a bit challenging for those not used to narrow lanes.The hotel provided a free pass though so all worked out.

the day we left we had to walk with our suitcases to find a taxi, there was a marathon happening that didn’t allow for a taxi to come to the hotel.

Great expérience in the heart of the castle. We arrived very late but everything was prepared and ready, including parking card for the car as the castle is a restricted area. Welcome was very sweet and friendly, fantastic room, extra clean and confortable, lovely breakfast in courtyard. Location is perfect, quiet, but next to all lively places. Many thanks !!!

Excellent location. Inside the old castle of Ioannina. Walking distance to everything. Easy parking close to the hotel. Very quiet spot. The room was beautiful bed very comfortable. The personnel was extremely helpful!!! Warm and polite. We had an enjoyable stay!

We enjoyed a lovely stay at Ialna hotel. The hotel is nestled within the atmospheric old castle area which is a perfect place to explore the main central and lake areas of Ioannina. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, even making me a cup a tea when I had to work in the restaurant area! The breakfast was a mix of traditional hotel food and local Greek options, which we loved. What we loved most about the hotel was the decor, which is modern and fresh, quite a contrast to the outside surrounding areas. Our room was very smart, a split level room with a double bed on the upper part and a sofa / kitchen area down below - we loved it. All in all, we had a great stay in Ioannina and the hotel experience of Ialna contributed well to that.

Parking can be tricky in the area

Great location inside the walls of the medieval castle. There is a lot of historic sites around and plenty of nice places to eat and drink nearby. The hotel is new, clean and the rooms are spacious and aesthetically great. Staff was very polite and helpful.

Our suite was one bedroom and one sofa bed which was very cramped. Almost no space to use once the sofabed was extended. Would have been lovely for 2 people but tight for 4. Main issue was no air conditioning upstairs and since hot air rises, the top room - main bedroom - was sweltering at night. The staff kindly offered us a fan but we thought this was unlikely to help much. With hindsight perhaps we should have tried it!

Beautiful small hotel in the heart of the castle. Furnished to a very high standard, very clean, lovely staff. Very good breakfast included.

The hotel is situated in a unique location.It is close to places on interest, tasty restorants and shopping districts. The hotel wascvery clean and the atmosphere was very pleasant. Excellent location within the castle’s walls, 2 min walk from the lake and all the bars and restaurants. Parking space can be arranged by the hotel staff. Customer service first class! Lovely breakfast served in the hotel courtyard.

The 2 rooms were on deferent floors wich made it hard for us to observe our 4 kids.

Great place to stay. Perfect location in the old city but close by foot to the lake and to the synagogue and to the restaurants area.. the crew was kind . We got 2 rooms for 2 nights (4 +2 people) the rooms were very clean and equipped. Breakfast was rich.

Our hostess was absolutely wonderful, so helpful and always smiling. The hotel was immaculate with lots of extra touches. Loved the wine cellar! Breakfast was delicious with so many wonderful food choices. The room was very modern and clean. It truly exceeded all expectations. I would definitely stay here again.

We had an attic room which was large and comfortable. The bathroom was amazing - complete with body sprays in the shower. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and included freshly baked local specialties.

there was nothing not to like

The room was very comfortable, the staff very helpful and friendly, the breakfast excellent and the towels and bathrobes so soft. The liquor and the small baklava offered were a nice addition. Finally, we really appreciated that they offered to prepare a breakfast box to take with us the next morning when we told them we had to check out early.
