Parking is problematic. Often you have to leave your care quite far from the hotel...but no one can expect a car park just in front of ancient Byzantine city!!! It will be a sacriledge...

Malvasia is in a hystoric and mystical place. Hotel is placed in a main street. Sea view is excelent. Furniture remainds me on grandmothers rustic house with cascets and benches decorated in a Balcan style Ladies at the reception where kind, hepfull, alwaus at your request (even carred one of our suitcasess when she saw at the check in, how tiered we were). But the ladies in charge for meals and room maintanance desrve mentioning. They were amaising!!. Besides usefull advices, and detailed explainations, about the specificity of making greek pie...they showed sincere care..and eventially gave us a jar with hand made candied fruits to take home!!! (My soons adore this candies) I know that Greeks are warm and friendly and I frequently spend my summer in Greece, but this hotel stuff has gone beuond my expectaions!!

This property was perfect for experiencing the unique area of Monemvasia. A perfect blend of the original castle, with all of the modern conveniences one expects on vacation.

In the unit are some funky steps and low doors - we never really got used to them so we got stubbed toes and banged heads! Not a deal breaker, but just worth noting (and we also marked the irregular steps for ourselves). Also you have to walk a lot of stairs to the Stelaki house, which was fine for most of us but if anyone has mobility problems, this specific site might be difficult (they have several buildings).

We had the big apartment in the Stelaki house - lovely great room, nice balcony on the sea, lots of windows with views of something beautiful, and amazing buffet breakfasts.

The breakfast was in another building - I had been informed about it prior to the arrival. It has not been inconvenient. The breakfast itself and coffee - rather disappointing.

The room was rather dark and humid but there was a very cool patio and it was a good choice for one night. There are not many rooms with seaview - don't get fixated on it. Lots of magnificent views outside of the hotel.

Beautiful location inside the walls of Monemvasia. Park outside, short walk. The house is traditional, the bed was comfortable, AC working well. The shared terrace was nice. Breakfast was delicious.

Balcony is shared with anyone in the hotel. Quite the trek to bring your baggage in, and parking can be a fair distance away.....that being said it's also part of the charm staying there. Tricky to find.

Monemvasia is not a place for folks with mobility issues, as there are a lot of steep areas and stairs. This was true even in our room, as we had to negotiate 7-8 stairs down to the bathroom, and 2 steps into the bedroom.

This hotel isn't just one building, as they have converted spots all over town into accommodations. We expected a simple room but got a massive suite, with tons of local ambiance. It was super clean and even had a kitchenette. But breakfast is included and it's served on a large balcony overlooking the town and water.
