Absolutely everything about this property was perfect, from the moment we arrived. The welcome we received from the lovely family who run the accommodation was exemplary. They each went out their way to make everything enjoyable and make the place feel like home. The food at the restaurant was a real highlight and breakfast each morning was fresh and varied. I’m missing the place already and keen to get back there in future!

I would highly recommend this property… The only thing I would recommend is that the beautiful new rooms need just a few items like hooks for a towel in the gorgeous shower room, or a box of Kleenex… Simple little things that travelers need. The rooms are beautifully decorated, but just need a few simple, organizational touches. 

The owners and staff of the property were very welcoming, helpful, and just made the stay that much better!

Honesty nothing - if a beautiful chilled hotel right by the beach is your thing then book Ikaros Suites

Ikaros suites was an amazing place to stay ! Our room was beautiful and felt very Greek. We loved how chilled and beautiful the hotel is. The pool area is so lovely and overlooks the mountains in the back. The staff were lovely and always on hand to help us. The breakfast was delicious and had lots of choice. We also ate lunch and dinner there as it was amazing- the best meal we had in Crete. We would definitely recommend Ikaros Suites.

A few more breakfast options would be great and maybe a toaster/grill for bread would be a great idea - otherwise everything was lovely :)

The owners were lovely and made us feel like family, the rooms were very clean and modern, the bed was very comfortable and the food at the restaurant was an added bonus.

We couldn't stay longer

We came here after another place had disappointed us and it was paradise! It's a family ruined business and they all were very nice and welcoming. The pool of the hotel is great and clean, the food and drinks are great and we enjoyed them very much. Our room was great-had an amazing view to the sea, it was very clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast was delicious and great value for money. The beach is very close and we liked the fact that it was not as crowded as the center itself. I would recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to enjoy peace and quiet with the nicest family!

The surrounding area is not very attractive, but that is the case in many places on the island. Luckily the beach is very close. Anyway, if you want to explore the island, you will need a car or a scooter.

It was our first trip to Crete and we wanted to find a representative place. Luck or inspiration was to choose Ikaros Suite, a small hotel managed by a very nice family. A modern, spacious hotel with new furniture, with all the facilities you need in a summer vacation: swimming pool, bar, restaurant with local specialties, relaxing atmosphere, good wi-fi free parking and a friendly staff ready to fulfill your wishes , speaking German and English. The restaurant is excellent, with local, authentic dishes - with natural ingredients from the family farm. The beach is a 2-minute walk away. We arrived very early in the morning, around 8 - but we were accommodated quite quickly, we didn't have to wait until after dinner. More than that - Katarina, the iron hand of the hotel :) - offered us a free breakfast from the house. When leaving, because we had a very early morning flight, we each received a package of food so that we wouldn't go hungry on the road. Thank you, Katarina. Thanks also to Yoorgos, he has a special reserve of excellent Cretan raki. My father-in-law was very happy for him. A place where you want to come back as soon as possible.

The hotel is amazing! First of all it is cosy, boutique - modern, new and very stylish run by a lovely Greek family. Our room was so big and elegant with a comfortable bed and bathroom. Second the pool was amazing with a great poolside menu and drink bar. The local restaurant is the best in the whole city - traditional Greek food at the highest level. The atmosphere here is perfect for relaxing and having the best holiday near Heraklion. Located just a minute from a nice beach. The hosts also provide car rental. We definitely recommend this place!

The location isn't great, there is a power station close by which you can smell depending on the wind directions.

The pool area is amazingly decorated, the hotel was amazing, and the decor looks great. the beaches surrounding the area were good and many choices for restaurants as well.

This is a family owned and managed boutique hotel that is very modern and comfortable. Excellent value for money 💰. Rooms are big and nicely desinded. Breakfast is great and the hotel restaurant is the best just fabulous. The best dinner ww had in 2 month travel in the island by far.

No elevator to the upper floors.

Amazing clean renovated rooms. The Hera Suite has a wonderful sea view and is very well designed and comfortable. The owners/staff provide 100% genuine care and hospitality, they make you feel like family. The food and service at the restaurant/pool are outstanding. Only a few steps away from the beach.

There was nothing that we did not like.

We loved staying in this hotel, everything was perfect. The family and the staff that run the hotel are such warm people. The restaurant at the hotel had the best food in the area (maybe even the best food we had during our two week trip in Greece). The room was very spacious and beautifully decorated and had a very comfy bed. It was very easy to reach the city for some sightseeing and is near nice beaches.
