Not enough light in the room. A bit like living in a cave. But then I might be a bit spoiled. Our home is a glass house.

This was not a problem for us as we had a car, but this is a remote area and a car is needed to get around.

Staying at Ippola was a totally unique experience. The hotel is a historical building which has been restored with great love and attention to detail. It is situated in a tiny village right next to the sea. We loved the breakfasts and the chef explained how she used local ingredients and traditional food. We had an amazing room (junior suite) and sat on the balcony looking out over the village and views out to sea. We swam in the two beaches - one just across the road. Clear water with lots of fish. It was a totally relaxing and beautiful stay.

Place and Food is amazing. Breakfast superb, dinner superb as well. Owners were very friendly. Had an amazing time at the hotel. In front of hotel was a beach so very convenient. Even provided canoe for us to use. Such sweethearts the owners and staff was! we accidentally left one of our bag in the room after check out, owner informed us so we managed to turn back to get our bag.

Everything was very nice. We like to swin in the sea, so a swimming pool is not so important for us, But I think that some international guest (I mean, judging by the target public of the hotel) should really appreciate a swimming pool, as the beach (stones and pebbles, cliffs) in front of the hotel is tiny and pretty, but maybe it's not the top on in this coast

Not so much the property itself but eating outside on the terrace ( only 4 tables) nowhere to escape the cigarette smell from the nearby tables. Location was a bit remote and couldn’t really swim at the beach in front of the hotel.

Attention to detail at start of season (we were first guests) was evident. No local information, no welcome pack, parasol on balcony faulty.

Typical refurbished ruin in near abandoned coastal village in Deep Mani. Huge balcony and pleasant room in local style. Breakfast was very good considering the few people staying. Host and staff very attentive and courteous. Dinner was available freshly cooked to order. Fantastic swim in village cove where fishing boats were anchored.

The location is perfect for a quiet stay and very convenient for travelling around in the Mani peninsula. Small beach just a few steps away. The view at sunset is magnificent. The hosts are welcoming and the inhouse restaurant serves good quality food and a good variety of drinks.

It is hard to describe the wisdom of nature. The hotel fully respected the surrounding environment. They achieved to combine tradition with modern design. Staff is friendly, discreet and kind. Internet is very good and beach is 10 feet distance. Totally recommended for recharging.

Very spatious, luxury room with private bubble bath located in a very nice renovated place near a small bay. From the large private terraces, one can enjoy the beatifull sunsets. Very nice and helpfull manager.
