How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Beach was good, but you need walk about 300m o climb steep stairs. Ventilation of bathroom could be better.
Very friendly and helpful owner and staff. Pretty good breakfast. Good WiFi connection and surprisingly good restaurants in close proximity. Easy parking in front of the hotel. Generally, Iraklis is very good 2star hotel.

Nothing to not like
Lovely hotel in great location near to Monolithi beach. Staff wonderful collected us from airport and back. Provided a map of the village with restaurants and supermarkets which was very helpful. The rooms are spotless and cleaned daily, the bedding and towels were frequently changed and were of very good quality. But most of all the friendliness and atmosphere was wonderful. Hope we can visit again one day.

There is nothing to not like Sonya, her mother and her brother Yakavos run a great place. Extremely friendly and comfortable 😃

The hotel is very nice, with a great location (close to a nice small private beach with umbrellas and sunbeds) The village of Mytikas is quiet, with few tourists, nice beaches and quite a few good restaurants. The hotel is comfortable and spotless clean, the breakfast is delicious. But the highlight of our stay there were our hosts. Dimitrios, Jakovos and Sonja. They were nice and helpful all the time. They always had a smile for us. We loved the place and we strongly recomend it.

Limited area for car Parking nevertheles all is free
Clean, large, simple but good and effective furnished room with a great, big, relaxing balcony. Staff is very kind, friendly and helpful. The hotel is pretty close to the beach clubs (5-10 min by car)

A lovely location, aet back on a side road. Nice breakfast, lovely staff. Big balcony. Inly stayed ine night as a stop over from yhe airport but it was really good and would stay linger. Great restaurants just ip the road.

We went to Iraklis Hotel for a weekend. This is another example that the critics (reviews) reflect the real situation. With reviews over 9, this hotel offers more than you expect. Don't get confused with the 2 stars. It very clean, the people are friendly, the rooms are great. It is quite and you can visit big cities (like Preveza and Parga) very quickly. You can choose to swim in the beach right in front of the hotel or you can visit the very large beach which is 5 minutes away. I would choose it again.

This was a stopover on a long road journey. There were not many options as the holiday season hadn't started. However, this hotel gave us everything we needed at an amazing price.

Comfortable room in good location. Plenty of tavernas nearby. Owners very helpful & gave us lots of useful information about visiting sites in the area. They speak good English. Parking on the quiet road outside.

I visited in the off season so a lot of the restaurants were closed, but imagine a few weeks earlier this wouldn’t be the case!
I didn’t know what to expect when I booked this but it is easily the best 2* hotel I’ve been to! The family who run it are incredibly welcoming and helpful, really went above and beyond to make it a good stay. There is a really good hidden sandy beach next to it.

The location was great, right next to a beautiful beach, and the staff really made the stay enjoyable. So accommodating for our family, went the extra mile for the children, and helped us out with our travel plans taking the time to sit down and give us advice. Unrivalled customer service, and a fantastic breakfast!!

Comfortable clean room with balcony and breakfast. Close to a lovely private beach and easy walking distance to taverns restaurants cafes and shops in the village. Sonia and Iacobus were welcoming and helpful with advice of where to go and what to do.

Location was excellent, close to the beach. Bathroom was very clean and bathroom towels were exquisite. Hotel owners were very friendly, helpful and polite.
