Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe WiFi didn’t cover the entire property such as the gym which was frustrating as someone who didn’t have service and needed it in order to view my workouts on my apps on my phone.
Amazing staff, super friendly, very professional. Awesome amenities like the gym.

BelgiumWe only stayed one night an got a room under the pool and next to the reception so not very quite and a humid room. For one night not bad and a good price but for sure a room to avoid if you stay longer.
Nice cozy small boutique hotel hotel, nice design and two pools, the view is very nice to the lower sea and only a short walk down for the beach and restaurants. The breakfast looked great, we only stayed one night and it was very calm.

IsraelThere is not a lot to do in Agia Pelagia, it was ok for us since we looked for a quiet place, but if you expect attractions in the town in walking distance you might be disappointed.
We were a couple + 3 year child, spent 5 days in the hotel, and had a great time. The staff members were super nice and welcoming. the restaurant and pool bar snack had a great menu to offer. we enjoyed our stay.

United KingdomNot a reflection on the property itself but it is quite a hill to walk back to from Agia Pelagia (the whole village is on a hill), but taxis are available.
Lovely room with great sea views! Air con worked great and the room was really comfortable! Parking was easy and both pools were lovely to sit around.

United KingdomBreakfast options were a bit limited and Agia Pelagia as a place is probably not somewhere we would visit again but other than that everything was absolutely excellent.
The property was wonderful, modern, clean, beautiful views. Rooms were large. Bostani Restaurant served great food and the barmen made the best cocktails! The staff were all excellent and we had a wonderful stay!

BelgiumGiven the 4-star rating, the relative high-end price per room per night, below some suggestions (low cost) to increase guest experience and overall satisfaction: - upgrade coffee quality at breakfast, nespresso machine already available - Crete and Greece are synonymous for excellent delicious olive oil; strangely at Irida you have to ask for olive oil if you'd like to add olive oil on salads, omelette, bread, etc. Make olive oil 'freely' available for use at breakfast. - consider to refill the coffee capsules daily, at least start with the superior guest rooms and suites etc if not for all rooms - provide body lotion and slippers in-room, globally a standard for many 4-star hotels
Overall we had a very good stay at Irida, the location and surrounding at the hotel is enjoyable to stay at. The hotel rooms were recently renovated, spacious and comfortable, at least the room we had booked and been assigned to (#23 and #28). Very good bed mattress and pillows. The seaview from the elevated rooms as a bonus is fantastic and very beautiful, especially sunrise view is breathtaking. The hotel offers free parking, ideal as a base for several excursions to Knossos, Heraklion, ... The front desk manager and the hotel manager were very accessible for all kinds of questions/issues and very helpful. The female staff at breakfast and by the pool were very friendly and outstanding. The male staff at breakfast appeared to me to be a bit 'moody' and not so customer service orientated as the female staff, at some point even a little bit unmotivated (= personal subjective observation). Breakfast quality was excellent and variety more than sufficient to us, more in particular we loved the fresh bread, freshly boiled & fried eggs and the fresh orange juice.

RomaniaWe have paid a lot of money but they charged some coffee per room! I know every euro counts multiplied by 12 months but when you pay 250 euros a day I would put coffee included!
The property is a modern and recent renovated!

PolandBreakfast - the least likeable part of the stay. Not very varied. Average quality, just not matching the overall high standard of the hotel. Sometimes the music at the "non-quiet" pool was too loud.
The hotel is newly redesigned and it is truly beautiful. Rooms are elegant and comfortable. While the village where the hotel is located is not particularly pretty, the bay view from the hotel is quite nice. Staff was exceptionally kind and helpful. Was great to have two pools, one of which was quiet zone. The hotel has a very convenient app for managing every aspect of your stay.
