United Kingdom23 reviews10 helpful votes“A lovely hostess.”The villa is in the middle of fields and the sat nav had difficulty with the local roads so it was very difficult to find. The wi-fi was patchy and often didn't work. We had expected some insects as it is a rural location but the high number of flies and small spiders was an unpleasant surprise. Overall, the villa didn't live up to expectations because it looks and sounds much better in the photos and description whereas in reality the kitchen is very basic and most of the furnishings are tired and in need of replacing, particularly the beds which are saggy and uncomfortable. The villa cost was inexpensive but there were extra charges for bed-linen and towels and for using the A/C added on at the end of the stay so that is something to be aware of if you are on a budget.
The hostess was very hospitable. She gave us fruit from her garden and allowed us to use her washing-machine. When things didn't work she did her best to help for example she lent us her BBQ because the one at the villa was useless. The location was just a few minutes drive to the nearest beaches and nearby resort facilities.

Hungary1 review“There were some small problems wich were fixed by Lily and her colleague Ms. Veta. Excellent!”The parasol needs a change, and the wasp’s nest under the terrace’s roof requires a constant attention of the host. But Lily fixed all my problems, so I was satisfied!
The house is near the Paralia beach and also Katerini center.

Netherlands2 reviews3 helpful votes“A nightmare: continuous construction work and misleading host”Nightmare: Iris4 was constructed neighboring Iris3, accompanied by major noise and privacy disturbances. Owner completely omitted to inform us about the planned work beforehand, and any later time. We asked for information on the plans and begged to search a mutual solution. Instead, owner chose to mislead us, continuously lying the work would only take 1 more day etc etc. After misinforming us, she refused to talk at all. We were flabbergasted by her rude, derogatory behavior. After 1 week of ongoing work it even intensified, multiple excavators around our accommodation, also in the evening. Since it appeared that work continued, we told her we wanted to checkout and go elsewhere. However, she disabled us to checkout by not returning our deposit, refusing to talk to us except yelling not being the owner, calling us names and fleeing away, leaving us with no options but staying in the horrible situation. Every day was a disappointment, as false hope was destroyed, every day being woken up early by the noise of the construction work, whilst sleeping with the windows closed (at>30C). We could not eat/sit/hear each other outside because of the terrible noise, sometimes with sawdust passing by. We were locked up inside in the heat with growing desperation. Moreover, we did not feel safe leaving the house either because the owner had been in our accommodation before in our absence, when she took stuff and afterwards falsely accused us of damaging things. Ironically she falsely accused ús of misbehaviour. Promised second key and a privacy cloth turned out lies too, falsely accuses guests, talks bad about other guests, Wifi connection mostly absent, nails at grounds causing flat tyre. Our holiday has been destroyed by the disturbances and misleading behavior: unacceptable for a host. Please be wary the response to this review will probably consist of false information too. 3 days after we left, Iris4 became available online. Save yourself this misery.
Nothing, the fundament of a holiday: chance to rest, relax, a safe place, was disabled.
