How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. We just came back from our amazing vacation on Skiathos. I don't know where to start with the praise for the hotel. We're so happy to have chosen it. It is a magical place located in the center of town, yet very quiet with its own rooftop terrace. The staff are amazing and very kind. The room was clean and towels changed every day. The coffee and pastries in the morning in the little garden were a welcome surprise. Would love to go back again one day.

It´s personal, but curtain in the bathroom. Water was everywhere
Amazing place, hotel is in the heart of Skiathos. We booked small studio for 3 persons. The kitchen is not well equipped (no knife, bowl, turner, wooden spoon, grater, nothing like this...) but for breakfast is enough. If you need something you just call Lia and she will bring it to you. She is very good and kind host! We loved the terrace - was spacious, complete with a large parasol. Very nice hotel!

The staff were fabulous. The hotel was so quiet comfortable and clean. Lia the owner is so helpful, she really looked after my family and I. The location is perfect… 5 min walk to the harbour where you can get buses taxis and water taxis anywhere on the island. So many fabulous eateries and cafe bars nearby within 1 minute walk. The air con is amazing! We would all stay here again and will. Thank you so much for hosting us Lia & thank you to your fabulous housekeeping staff also, they are incredible. Jill Dance & Family x

Would be good to have tea making facilities in room, but this did not affect our enjoyment of this hotel.
Very nice hotel and ideally situated in the middle of town, but very quiet. Host is such a nice person - if you stay here, you will not be disappointed. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Our room was the smallest, but that was our own fault to book the budget room… make sure you book a better room. we will next time . though it was really fine. we loved our stay
The owner is dedicated to detail.. she forgets , nothing and helps with everything. Lia runs a tight ship. The rooms are quiet and comfortable

The host Lia is amazing! super friendly, welcoming, helpful and responsive at any time of the day! The place is cozy and with a great location in the middle of the village and yet quiet.

This was last minute booking but was so great to get the place. Friendly hosts welcome us and show us around. Good size room for a family of 3 with a proper bed for a child! The location is great, quiet but close to the restaurant and shop area. P.S. check Google before you go, we picked the shortest way but it includes coming up and down the hill. Better go the one that is kind of long but it flat :)

This is a fantastic little hotel in the centre of Skiathos Town, perfect to explore all the shops, hospitality and nightlife. It also has step free access from the port which is a huge bonus with luggage. The owner is so friendly and the place is beautiful, a little oasis in the bustling town. The room was a good size with great air conditioning and all very modern. Highly recommended for solo travellers, friends, couples, families - look no further!!
