How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Everything was perfect! The location was great. The apartment is so beautiful and clean! The view is amazing! And Caterina was a wonderful host and helped us with everything we needed! We will definitely come back! Thank you so much for making our holidays just wonderful!

Nothing!!! It can be noisy but it’s central so what do you expect? I like the music and noise … it’s what make the holiday vibe The pool is a bit if a walk away and quite small but the beach is on your doorstep It would be nice to have an outdoor table to eat at All minor and certainly wouldn’t stop us from recommending
Absolutely beautiful apartment in a central location. Everything you need for a comfortable and luxury stay Close to the beach, vast array of bars and restaurants and supermarkets Caterina has been fantastic- arranging transport to and from the airport and loads of recommendations on places to visit and restaurants to eat at etc 2 cleans and bed/linen changes in the 8 days we were here and fruit, wine and cake as arrival gifts 100% approval and that’s hard to achieve - had to be the best place we have ever stayed in self catering and I am hard to please

We stayed in an amazing apartment!!! We enjoyed every minute on this!! So beautiful view, the location was perfect, the pool was fantastic, overall value for money!! The living room, the comfortabe bedrooms, the bathroom and the balcony were so gorgeous! We will not forget the warm welcome from Antonia, the wine and fruits and the amazing service of Caterina!! We highly recommend and will book again this apartment for sure!!!

nothing, everything was perfect!
The location of the apartment is perfect, you can't miss the view, you can only see the sea! The apartment is equipped and furnished at the highest level, everything is fun and comfortable. The representative Catrina is perfect, she gave us a lot of information about attractions, restaurants and beaches, and gives us a great feeling of just coming and enjoying. This is not our first time in apartments, but this apartment was the best! For sure we will come back again it was just perfect

The pool was off site and the beach in front wasn’t one we wanted to swim or relax at.

We had a wonderful stay with Antonia and Caterina! The Apartment is beautiful, exactly like on the pictures! I have never seen such hospitality, almost every day they came and brought little things! There were also many good tips! We will definitely be back! We fell in love, both with the apartment and with the hosts! Thank you very much!

Niets viel tegen, alles was boven verwachting.
Through the years my husband and I visited many apartments and have had many hosts. For sure this apartment was the best we ever had, and Caterina is the best host we ever had. The apartment felt like home. It was beautifull decorated, very complete, clean, and it also felt like home because of the loving care by Catherina. Thank you Caterina, for your amazing hospitaliy. I had the most wonderful experience at the apartment. The hosts Antonia and Caterina are so warm and welcoming, they made us feel like family. They were very quick and receptive to any messages sent and also helped us with various recommendations in the area. I couldn't have had nicer people to host us for our vacation. The apartment was exceptionally clean, bright and beautiful. We could have stayed on the balcony all day and enjoyed the breeze and view. The location of the apartment was great. We were close to everything you might need , markets, restaurants, shops, taxi station, pharmacy and several beautiful beaches. The local people of the town were also very friendly and we had many nights of laughter to remember. I will definitely stay there again when I return to Crete.

The apartment is more beautiful than in the picture. At check-in the hosts welcome us and explained everything about the apartment and the area. The location is perfect. The best apartment in Crete. We definitely recommend staying there.

The apartment was even more beautiful than the pictures. We found everything we needed and the location is perfect, right in front of the sea coast. Our hostess was more than polite and very helpful. I would recommend this apartment 100%. We definitely will visit again.
