The location is challenging g so close to Heraklion airport. OK to see the planes going over daytime but through the night is very disruptive for sleep. Bring ear plugs!

Knossos Beach staff are out of this world, very special, caring and a welcome smile for every moment. Lovely sandy beach, excellent food, best beds and showers. Special mention to the dynamic duo in Guest Services and all the restaurants and bars’ staff. Exceptional!

At times, there were issues with front desk. I had to ask 3 times to get a price on adding an additional guest which ended up costing 200 Euros for essentially just a few extra meals / drinks. In the bar, perhaps it was busy, but actually getting an order took far too long. On my first morning, I woke up to a cockroach inside the room which seemed dead but then proved to be VERY active. It was the only one I saw, and wasn't a big deal, and I guess to be expected for the climate. BUT - 80 Euros, for 1 bag of washing, that was only completed after 50 hours, is really unacceptable. I had been travelling already for a number of days, so wanted some fresh clothes. I guess this is not a service used often. But I could have flown back to the UK, washed them, and returned to Crete in less time than it took. And 80 Euros is just really, really appaling as a cost. I strongly encourage the property to either adjust this or consider not offering the service at all. It's a strong way for a guest to feel quite exploited.

Room was a 10/10. Being able to wake up and step into a pool, whilst also on the beach front just never got old - it was sensational. The room was good enough to assuage most other concerns. Much of the staff were excellent, particularly those in the buffet, and Manos at front desk was very helpful. The environments in general were superb - the buffet restaurant overlooking the beach, the room, the bars - first class.

Didn't stay long in the resort to find anything negative to say.

We stayed only for 2 nights and got up graded to a lovely suite. The suite was amazing with fantastic views of the coast line. Nice private area with sun beds and outside shower. The breakfast and buffet dinner was excellent. Lots of choice and tasty. Very friendly staff.

The hotel is a 10-15 minute drive from the airport, you can hear the noise of landing planes Beach beds a bit dirty, not cleaned regularly To sum it up - definitely worth the money, we enjoyed our stay at Knossos and would love to come again :-)

The heated pool in the room wasn't as hot as we expected it to be. The wasn't complete privacy on the room's balcony, as people from other rooms could look inside our balcony. The hotel is very far from the other main attractions of Crete, meaning that you will probably stay in the hotel area and that's it because the rest of the places are hours away.

The view is fantastic - right in front of the beach, and the sand was pleasant to touch. The food was OK and varied. The food in the nearby restaurants to the hotel was also delicious.

Minor Complaints (as some others have said) the beach cabanas could be cleaner and some spots could do with a repaint (outside). But the room is spotless and it didnt affect our enjoyment at all. We liked the "Si La" restaurant a bit better than "swell" as we got a perfect table for dinner with an amazing view and great staff. Both restaurants could have a slightly bigger selection for longer stays. But these are minor complaints.

The "Suite Water Front with Private Pool" is an amazing Suite with a Private Pool, you have Direct sea view from the pool and all resting areas. Its a perfect spot for couples to spend an incredible time. You can enjoy the beach and when it gets too hot you can rest in your private pool or room.

the beach has a lot of sea grass, while this was ok for guests, it smelt and the hotel could make an effort to clean this daily to reduce the volume and smell.

great facilities, highly recommended to take the free yoga and Pilates classes, the instructors were very professional and adapted classes to the profile of the participants. good breakfast, specially the sweet pastries. Si la, is an excellent Resturant, worth a visit.

There were issues with our private pool, the lights didn't work so we couldn't enjoy the atmosphere in the evening. Also, the water was overheated for 2 days of our stay, it was like a jacuzzi and not a pool. We also had issues with hot water in our shower, it was burning hot and we could not get cold water running for 3 days. Staff was not always very helpful, you had to go from one to another to get things sorted out. We expected more from a 5-star resort.

Pool on our terrace was absolutely fabulous and the view was stunning. Food was great and the location is very good, just 8 km from the airport.

Unfortunately the sea was full of seaweed when I arrived as both beaches of the hotel are coves but when/if it clears it's lovely. But I think that's the case for most of the northern shores around Heraklion..? Also was a little surprised when I found out on arrival that even though I had paid for half board, I was given a voucher to choose for only one of the restaurants (there are two other than the buffet - Swell and Si La) and the rest of my stay I was allowed to eat only at the buffet restaurant. When I questioned this as it's not stated when you book, I was immediately given another voucher. I was only there 3 nights so I ate out the 3rd night.

It's beautifully designed and the beach is private and the area is quiet. It is definitely a place of peace and calm. The white washed walls of the villas and the plants and flowers make it really beautiful to wander through. The room felt new, fresh and spacious. The food at Si La restaurant is excellent and the setting is gorgeous especially at sunset. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. All in all very easy and relaxed atmosphere.

The aircraft flying overhead was a bit noisy for my wife but not a bother to me at all. The restaurants in the immediate area was not particularly good, but we took an evening trip to Malia (21 minutes away) and the neighboring city and the food and atmosphere there was fantastic. Well worth the drive.

My wife and I were there for 7 wonderful days. The staff was fantastic making sure to handle any and all needs big or small. the cuisine whether for breakfast or at any of the restaurants was outstanding. My wife's birthday was on one of the days and the restaurant did their best to make sure her celebration was a personal one that she will remember.

I wish I'd known the excursion calendar ahead of time, I'd have made better use of my time there. As good as resort stays are, I'd encourage everyone to move out of Heraklion!

My interactions with the staff were wonderful. Everyone was kind and helpful I arrived very late and they were thoughtful about providing me with packed sandwiches and vouchers to other restaurants for the meals I'd missed The view from my room was lovely

The overall feel of the facilities and service did not meet a 5-star standard. As lovely as everyone was and as pleasant as our stay was, unfortunately there were a few things that simply dropped the standard of the hotel.

The spa was excellent, most of the staff were really nice, polite and helpful. The food and drink available at the hotel was also excellent both what was included in the half board option and all the extra paid options. Our private dinner was incredible value and the quality of both food and service were outstanding. The bars and pool were very nice and although they felt a bit under staffed at times, overall we had a good experience. It was a bit disappointing that the spa wasn't fully operational but that was down to the restrictions and not the hotel's fault.

Overall, we would rank it a 4-star hotel, not a 5-star one. Room facilities were a bit outdated and generally the room would have benefitted from renovation. Room service was not always to the standard: we were missing something almost everyday: a shower gel, hair conditioner, beach towels, facial towel etc. All that was brought quite fast after we had called the reception, but those simple things should not be really requested for. The Sila restaurant was OKish - nothing spectacular. Also, when we made our reservation there, we specifically asked for a table in the outside area and the lady confirmed that we would get one. However, when we arrived at the restaurant, we were given a table at the bar and were told that outside table were given only to those who had made their reservation for 19-00 and 19-30 (we had ours for 20-00 upfront). Plus, there were available tables outside, but we were still seated at the bar, which was quite unpleasant and also inconsistent with what we had been told before.

The view from the room was fantastic, the private beach was very good. Food in the main restaurant was fine, with moderate yet sufficient variety of dishes. The room was very spacious. The gym was small but good. The hotel area overall is very beautiful, one could literally take photos of every single corner )). Staff were extremely friendly.

the spa is disappointing - very limited availabilities and opening times, possibly covid-related. average quality of massage, shorter than booked, and rather chilly. too many kids for true relaxation (some apparently from non-hotel guests despite beach labelled as private)

great seafront room with terrasse right on the beach. the sandy beach is very nice, somewhat protected from the waves and perfectly equipped with sunbeds showers etc. very fresh and tasty food with varying buffets. The staff are all very friendly and helpful.
