How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

A proper double bed rather than twins pushed together with a gap.
Olga was wonderful and gave us some brilliant suggestions for days out. Beach was so close and hotel pool was small but so useful when sea was rough. Breakfast was excellent including a takeaway when we had a very early start.

All lovely, wish we stayed longer.
Buffet breakfast is great, loads of choice, lots of cheeses and salad. Lovely staff as alaways and great to see Olga still running front of house, she is a star and looks after everyone.

All good.
Rooms are recently renovated and clean. The breakfast was nice and there was a daily offer of different dishes. The beach directly in front of the hotel is clean and free sunbeds from the hotel are available. The stuff in the hotel is always smiling and ready to help.

Nothing really.
Beautiful beakfast, good customer service, spacious clean room everything functioning and everything looked to be new. At this time could even use the beach sun loungers for free.

The breakfast was not the best, but fine if you like a continental!
The hotel is in a great location for the restaurants and bars. It is extremely clean and modern with a great shower and sea views. The staff on reception were really helpful and keen to give recommendations.

Leaving I could stay here for years.

Everything was perfect.
The room was very spacious, clean and tidy, with a balcony and little details like a drying racket. The staff was very kind and helpful. Great pool in front of the hotel. The breakfast was delicious, with many local handmade specialties. This was the best place so far on Crete for us.

Everything was “perfect”, but the room and balcony was totally out of charm.. Some kind of decor would have been nice, not just grey, concrete walls…

I missed the authentic local flavors of breakfast. Also it was noticeable in several aspects that we arrived before the main season for exaple the restaurant is not open yet in the afternoon in the same time they could not help us heat up our dinner from the previous night saying that the restaurant was closed. Also, on the website it is written that "We can provide you special packs for breakfast upon request." but they could not help us, e.g. with breakfast package, when we had to check out early in the morning (7:00am) to reach our flight. They suggested us to collect something at the end of the breakfast on the day before. So we left without it althought we paid for it. The nights were still a bit cool to cover ourselves with just a blanket without a quilt.
It was close to the beach and the breakfast selection was pretty big. We were very satisfied with the housekeeping.

No free water in rooms. No tea / coffee in rooms No inclusive lattes with breakfast, have to pay extra. Overpriced in our opinion.
