Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe seaside-facing rooms can be a bit windy, so you might prefer the pool-facing rooms instead. The beach in front of the hotel was quite wavey, but this might be because we visited during the off-season. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kos.
Breakfast was fantastic, and the hotel staff gave us excellent recommendations on where to go in Kos. We were very pleased with our stay at the hotel. The rooms were comfortable, the service was top-notch, and the location was perfect for exploring the island. If you ever find yourself in Kos, I highly recommend staying at this hotel. You won’t be disappointed!

IrelandThe beach is not necessarily a private beach. So you’ll have non Lango residents also walking into the beach.
The Lango has a beautiful view of the beach at the front of the property, across the road. They have sun beds to relax and have a button to press to call for assistance like ordering food or drinks. They have a beautiful pool at the centre of their property with rooms around. So you’ll either end up with a pool view or a beach view room. We got the private pool room which allowed us to have a flooring breakfast and private swim time.

United KingdomThe location isn't great, there's not a lot around and it was very windy (we went mid-September, not sure what it's like the rest of the year). It was approx 40 mins walk into Kos town and 10/15 mins walk to the nearest restaurants. Taxis are few and far between but there is a bus stop outside the hotel which goes to Kos harbour in about 15 mins.
The hotel is absolutely stunning with excellent attention to detail. The pool area, food, spa and staff CANNOT be faulted 😍 We had a massage each and they were both incredible, the spa is gorgeous and so peaceful - highly recommended. We also did the wine tasting which was lovely, a really nice way to spend an afternoon learning about the produce from the local area and amazing value.

United KingdomLango is such a special, easeful place to stay, managed and staffed by exceptionally warm people and situated 20 mins walk from town. We spent 10 days there in September, and could happily have stayed longer. It is worth staying for the sunsets alone - phenomenal every single evening, truly romantic. The rooms are clean and have all you need. The pool is bigger than you'd expect for such a small hotel, and the beds comfy. The private beach was rarely busy, and just across the road from the hotel. The sea there is very shallow, so good for less confident swimmers. Christos who brought lunch and drinks from the bar was always really friendly. Breakfast at Lango has everything you could possibly need, and when I asked I was able to get both lactose free yoghurt and gluten free milk. Epistemi and the other staff at breakfast couldn't have been more welcoming and lovely to chat to. Dinner is exceptional (especially dessert), though rich and a little pricey so maybe not one for every night. The gym has exactly what you might need to keep things ticking over if you're a regular gym user, and was rarely busy. Overall Lango is one of those places where all the little touches, and the warmth from everyone who works there, Zinet, Savvas and everyone else, really makes it feel like the break you need. Would love to stay again!

GermanyA couple of things to be aware. If you like to have privacy at the beach or a very beautiful beach, this hotel may not be the best option. You need to cross a street to access it and sometimes random people stop close to the sunbeds with their cars and walk around you. If you want to nap at the beach, you end up hearing motorcycles, cars, buses, etc. Another point is the breakfast, quality was great and overall tasty. But i felt like it was the same every day and it felt a bit monotonous. More variety with local food or international food would be nice to have.
Overall it was a great hotel. They took care of any requests immediately, the facilities were great, service was fast and the rooms were quite and comfortable. We got great restaurant recommendations from the lobby staff and everything was clean. Location is great because you are close to downtown Kos, so you can either walk 30 min to the marina, take a bike or order a taxi for a better price.

IrelandA bit of impatience at the check-out. We were late 15min and we received two calls in this time.
Our room and all hotel areas were very clean, well organised and stylish. The stuff in Lango Hotel is m professional and take a very good care of their clients. We arrived to the hotel late and restaurant was already closed. Despite this, they delivered tasty sandwiches to our room. Breakfasts in the hotel were exceptional. Toiletries were in a good quality and smelled nice. The hotel’s swimming pool is in a good size and there are enough beds around for guests.
