How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Dusty conditioner with unclean filters, that probably provoked coughing.
Convenient bathroom and bed, reasonable furnishing and good price. Breakfast also was very nice.

It is good value, I would stay there again.
Stayed one night and arrived late evening : great room, facilities and clean. Also breakfast included next morning was excellent !

We booked here last minute late at night after our ferry was delayed, and the staff were totally accommodating. Our room was very comfortable and the free breakfast was a nice bonus. In retrospect getting stuck turned into a positive!

the tv had a problem and they upgraded our room with a much bigger one for no more money . they responded very quickly .
location was very good and breakfast was a buffet with more than expected ; Excellent. Always someone at the reception and friendly people . we had a free and safe parking spot close . the hotel and room was very clean.

The room had a window, and it was quiet, but outside through the window it was a bit dirty.
Small room, quiet, clean, very central in the city, very good breakfast buffet. The staff was nice too. Small bathroom but clean and new.

A bit annoying having to go out and cross the road for check out / check in and breakfast
Small but comfortable room, and comfortable bed. The reception is on the other side of street and there's no elevator to the first floor room, but we were helped with our luggage through check-in (we didn't ask for help during check-out). They were readily available to keep our luggage on departure day. We only stayed one night so we couldn't explore breakfast very much but there were plenty of local and international food options.

Convenient location within walking distance of most sites in the centre. Staff were friendly. Convenient free parking arrangements with a parking station in the port area about a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Room was comfortable and the breakfast was quite good.

Stayed for one night before flying from Heraklion aiport which is a short taxi ride away. Very clean, modern room on the ground floor of the annex across the road from the main hotel. Small basement terrace. Although the planes taking off from the nearby airport fly directly overhead and are loud we slept peacefully thanks to the good sound proofing, closed terrace door and good air conditioning. Very comfortable beds. Thank you to the very helpful and friendly staff. Good selection of fresh foods both Cretan and international in the breakfast buffet. A short walk to the old town or to the harbour. Would definitely go back again for couple of nights to explore Heraklion more.

The airport is near.

The room was very small, with almost zero sun light. The wifi was not stable and we could not use it.

The standard of cleaning was poor. And building could do with some maintenance.
This is a good hotel close to the ferry port. Very short walk, but up hill a bit or a good couple of sets of stairs. Taxis are cheap much easier to just get a taxi. Rooms have a nice view on the small front balconies. Rooms are reasonable size and have the basics. Wifi was good. It is also close to the Main Street. Very close walking distance. This is a good stop over hotel, but wouldn’t stay for a long holiday.
