How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The place was literally just a few steps from the Spianada. A few minutes walk from Saroko Square, the Old Fort and oodles of restaurants to choose from. Corfu Town is so gorgeous with its Venetian influence. The island is a delight with its lush greenery compared to starker regions in the south of the country and the people on the island are so friendly. The ladies looking after us at Locandiera exemplified this same friendship. Our breakfasts were great. Our room (On the third floor. Be sure you don’t mind climbing stairs.) was large and super clean. No majestic views out picture windows from this location but you make up for it with great hosts and a central location! You walk out the door and are in the old town. Point to note if you’re thinking of renting a car: parking anywhere in Corfu Town is total nightmare. You “might” find a spot, but you’ll look a looooong time. We rented a car two days and actually rode the bus for ~10 minutes out to the airport and rented a car each day to see the countryside. Finding a parking place wasn’t worth the hassle. Lacondiera, great place! Definitely recommend.

Breakfast excellent with fresh eggs and homemade jam every day, location is beyond exceptional for exploring the old and new towns of Corfu, but quiet enough to allow an escape from the hustle and bustle.

No issues at all.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, even before we got there. When we did get there, about 3 hours before check-in time, they greeted us warmly and made us espressos and let us leave out luggage there until later. The breakfast the next morning was excellent, including our choice of eggs, along with fruit, bread, meat and ought choices, and of course espresso. If we come back to Corfu again, we will definitely stay with them again.

The stairs were a bit challenging for a 63 year old with a dodgy knee. Ask for 1 st floor if you’re like me.

Charming building. Comfortable and well equipped room. The hosts were lovely and prepare an incredible breakfast. Great central location also. Very central in the old town and spianada square is a 5min walk if you need parking facilities.

Great location, big room, nets over windows for bugs, friendly hosts and amazing breakfast- the hosts even made me a traditional Greek omelet. Informative staff and enthusiastic about your stay. A couple bottles of water were generously provided in the room too

Excellent hotel. Communication was good.We received a warm welcome. Central location made it so easy to wander through the old town. Quite street. Spotless and modern in design. Staff were friendly and happy people. Breakfast was great, a feast of Corfuiot local breads, jams, honey, fruit, juices, sweets and more. Highly recommended.

The hotel is housed in a traditional old building with no elevator and a wooden staircase that can become noisy.
The hotel's location is perfect if you want to explore the old town on foot. Simple, clean rooms with all the necessary amenities. Nice staff and a homemade breakfast.
