Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyThe only thing I didn't like that much was the fact that this hotel is obviously a hotel mainly for french guest, with french animation team. Which is of course not bad itself, but there was no hint about that on the booking site. And also if I go to a hotel in Greece, I would love to hear more greek than french ;-)
The Hotel is in a beautiful spot directly at the sea. We had a bungalow with our own garden. The guys at the bar are very kind, especially Mikel and the very friendly waiter, which spoke german, too (unfortunately I forgot his name :-( ). The pool was also very clean and big. The nearest village Loggos is very sweet which different restaurants and super markets. You can reach it by foot i n about 10 minutes.

AustriaThe main building has the charm of a very large social housing condominium. The thin walls make you very much aware of the neighbors breathing noises.
wonderful beach location with two swimming pools. tenniscourts, and challenging playgrounds. Half an hours drive from Patras' ferry port, two hours from Athens. Exellently supplied breakfast buffet on the beach (weather permitting)

GreeceNo access in the sea despite signs. As it is full of rocks and urchins, they need to create a proper "corridor". Hotels with similar problems use sunken sacks

AustraliaThe beds are rock hard. There is no plug for any bath in the whole resort. We have a toddler and saw there was a small bath under the shower and thought this was handy but no plug. Crazy. Area to shower is very small. Also a hook or two on the back of the bathroom door would be good as theres only a spot to hang one towel. The phone in the room didn't work so we couldn't call reception. The folder that comes in hotel rooms with info ... well the one in our room we hoped would have say menus or Wi-Fi password, or any info other than just laundry price list.
The staff once we got there were fabulous and the reception area and restaurant and outside area where you can have bar snacks and drinks were fab. The place is nice and clean. Buffets and bar snack menu tasty. Plenty of parking. Close to small town with other eateries by the water.

BelgiumThe rooms are very basic but ok. It's an older hotel but we spent most of our time outside so we only noticed this in the upstairs hallways and room.
Great value for money. Tasty and extended buffet for breakfast and dinner. Very friendly staff and animation team. The advantage of going early in the season = only a few people by the pool = very relaxing. The disadvantage was that the water was still pretty cold. (20/21°C) We checked out at 19u instead of 11u because we enjoyed the pool area next to the small beach with great views a lot. We paid €25 for this but didn't mind since it was worth it. Would visit again in May or September. :) The small town a few minute's drive from the hotel is super cute and has 3(?) bars and a minimarket.

BelgiumThe location is a bit isolated from everything. One has to walk 1 km to find a little shop with postcards... The beach with stones and sea oursins, so we have to pay attention where we put our feet on, but as the water is very clear, it is easy to see the oursins. After some days, I was fed up with the food. The level is average,.. the desserts were not bad but were not good either...On the photo on booking, I saw a jacuzzi but there wasn't one when we got there...
The swimming pool, the beach near the swimming pool. The discotheque in the hotel. The food was fine but after some days, one get quickly bored. The ping pong tables, the free transats, the nice employees. The hotel and its facilities, nice tables, chairs, external shower. Pick up point for the boat excursion. It is a place where it is possible to meet other people to play with (cards, table tennis). Air conditioning and wifi in the hotel.

GreeceThe noise of children and parents at their Mini Club was disturbing. The pool opens at 10.00 so people who desire to swim at 7.00 before the crowd or before breakfast cannot use it. The hotel provides some safe paths to get into the pebble beach but our swimming shoes were very useful to avoid the sea urchins!
We choose the bungalow especially to stay away from the non-vaccinated children, teenagers and irresponsible adults. Of course we did not chose the all inclusive formula as we don’t like to see starving obese people serving themselves huge portions and drinks several times as they suffered from famine. We had breakfast at 7.00 to avoid the crowd but, despite gloves were offered by the hotel and masks were required in common areas, a German elder did not wanted to follow the rules and we stopped him to serve yogurt before us. To avoid all those problems we ordered lunch at the pool bar and they brought it in the privacy and green surroundings of our bungalow veranda. At evening there are very nice and good fish tavern and restaurants in the village so we enjoyed a safe dinner. This is a perfect hotel for families who looks for quantity and don’t care about quality. We just checked if their 20 bungalows could have been suitable for a group event but of course we will choose another solution.

GermanyIt is really outdated, only the entrance looked nice. The shower in the bathroom was poor. The beds are not comfortable. Lunch buffet had sufficient options however overall quality was poor. We had bad luck with as a few kids soccer teams were staying in the hotel as well and they kept running, shouting and slamming the doors until midnight and started with the same exercise at 07:00. Hotel staff was not able to put a stop to this. This is for sure not a 4 star hotel. I know that there are always folks that have lots of comments no matter in what kind of luxury hotel they stay, however this is the very first time I have provided this kind of negative feedback because I really feel this is valid feedback.
Nice swimming pool with sufficient beds, nice hotel staff
