How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Everything was super nice! It is a small hotel close to the centre of Chania but also a bit out form the main streets with lots of people (more quiet). Room was nice and clean, breakfast was good. The lady working at the reception was really nice and hospitable - she really made sure we are feeling ok, asked us if we need anything else, etc.

Nothing we didn’t like.
The breakfast was fantastic, and the room cleaners did a great job every day. The reception staff were really helpful and friendly. The hotel itself is obviously quite new, and very tastefully decorated. The location was excellent - handy for the old town and the harbour, while being far enough away from the bustle to be peaceful. Loved being able to sit out on the balcony as the sun came up.

Everything! Super clean, comfy (great mattress and pillow, slept great), also very close to the the bus station and a mere 5-7 minutes walk from the historical center. And the staff was very helpful! Also the breakfast was very good. Will come back. Efharisto poli!

Although the breakfast was overall very good, the quality of bread and ham could be better.
Although the neighbourhood is not great, it's walking distance to the center which was very convenient. It was easy to find parking places close to the hotel. The ladies at the reception were super nice, friendly and gave us some nice tips. The room was confortable, a/c was not noisy and the beds were very good. Definitely recommended! The breakfast was also very good (3* hotel including fresh orange juice, amazing)! Definitely recommended!

The room was little bit on the smaller size but the room was still nice. It had a balcony which was nice. The staff were helpful and there was a nice breakfast included with our stay. They provided us with a nice liquor during our stay.

Excellent location to explore Chania on foot, super quick walk to Old Town and shopping strips, whilst also having delicious and inexpensive local restaurants moments away. The beautiful hotel staff made our stay memorable with their Cretan warmth and helpfulness. Highly recommend!

The hotel is impeccably clean, modern, and the staff were incredibly friendly. It’s just a short walk to the old town, making it a convenient location. There is a non-stop parking spot 20m away. Get in touch with the hotel first and they will tell you everything you need to know. I highly recommend this hotel for an enjoyable stay in the area!

A/C in the room wasn’t circulating enough and my partner couldn’t get a good nights sleep without switching to the other side. Finding free street parking next to the hotel is difficult. We had to use the paid parking next to the hotel which costs 10€ for the whole day. You may be asked to leave your keys in the car when you drop off the car there which we found a bit odd but it was all good in the end.
Location was very convenient close to the Venetian port. It’s a 20 minute cab ride from the airport. Their breakfast was very good with many delicious pastries and savoury baked goods to choose from. The staff were very helpful in arranging cabs, reserving restaurants and providing any other information we needed.

Hard to criticise, rooms have everything a traveller needs.
Great location. Well run hotel. Our second visit after we had a great first visit experience. Would definately use in future if visiting Chania again.

The area was a little down market but safe.
The hotel is minutes from the bus station and Old Town. The staff was very helpful. We had to leave before breakfast and they provided a take out breakfast box.

Good location a short walk from the old town and easy to get in and out by car to explore a little further afield. Warm and welcoming staff who seem to genuinely care about the service they provide. Good selection at breakfast and a spotlessly clean room
