Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Greecenothing to report here - not a single hicup during our 5 nights stay.
Our recent visit to Marbella Elix was truly memorable. The hotel is only 2 years old and we arrived just after the hotel opened for the 2024 season. We had a fantastic time from start to finish and even though we had booked 5 days: we did not got once out of the hotel, which is rare for us. Set on a hill, every part of the hotel offers stunning views of the Ionian Sea. Traveling as a group of eight, including four kids aged 7 to 11, from both abroad and Athens, the hotel catered to all our needs effortlessly. The main pool was a hit with everyone, large and welcoming, while the kids particularly enjoyed the smaller pool designed just for them under a cool shade. The restaurant by the pool was also pretty good. Opting for the half-board was a great choice. The breakfast and dinner buffets were abundant with too many dishes to try them all and really tasty. As you'd expect there were theme nights like Mediterranean and Asian that were particularly enjoyable. Our room had a large private pool with an infinity view of the sea, which was simply breathtaking, and definitely worth every single penny. one small negative is that I found the wine list a bit pricey. I'll add that the beach is also stunning and well run as you'd expect from such hotels with sunbeds, and clean towels availalbe and there is a simple restaurant as well so that you can have a light lunch or simply order drinks/coffees while you are on your sunbed. At the beach you can do many sea activities and we rented sea cayak with the kids for sea canoying, it's safe and defintely worth it as you have a couple of small caves. We would definitely recommend Marbella Elix to anyone looking for a relaxing and indulgent stay. It’s a place we’d happily return to and definitely set the bar higher for my next trip in any other similar hotel.

United KingdomI will know next time to ask for a room which does not require multiple staircases to access (at my age!) And my room was not serviced on one day of my stay which I chose not to rectify at the time
The food selection and quality was consistently superb. The staff were clearly really well trained and very attentive. The views are stunning and the quality of the building and decor excellent.

United KingdomWhile the sunsets on the beach were a great experience, the beach itself didn't live up to the idyllic photograph shown on Booking.com. What looks like a white sand beach is actually quite dark and is made up of small and larger stones. Even if you wore beach shoes, you almost sink down into the stones as you walk along the beach so that was never a relaxing experience. The hotel pool was lovely when it was quiet, though bare in mind there is only one. Our 2nd week here accidentally coincided with UK October half term, and it was almost impossible to do relaxing lengths with the amount of kiddies in the pool lol! Bare in mind if you haven't rented a car, there is hardly anything to do here and no where really to walk in the evening. The hotel does offer boat tours, but 90% of them are private boat rentals which (unless you're a large group) are crazy expensive. There is 1 public catamaran tour they offer every Sunday and there is a shuttle transfer every Thursday to the nearby town of Parga 4-8pm. The gym is also windowless and very small, only 2 treadmills.
The hotel design is very light, airy, modern and clean - as were the rooms! We had a Deluxe Sea View room (441) which was at the end meaning we had full open view of the beach and the sea - request this room! We aren't fancy foodies so we stuck to the Saffron restaurant buffet breakfast and dinner each day. There were a few 'samey' days for dinner but there were also a few themed nights which were delicious, like the Asian cuisine on Tuesdays! Food was always well cooked and delicious. Hot drinks / juices are included in the breakfast but you have to pay more for drinks at dinner if you're half board. The staff were always very welcoming and friendly and willing to help.

NetherlandsThe hallways can be noisy early in the morning because of other guests. I’m extremely sensible to sounds so the average guest probably wouldn’t notice it.
Elix and especially the private pool suite is unique in it’s comfort and view. Watching the sunset from there is astonishing. As a guest with autism this suite provided me a way to relax at my own pool without any external stimuli. The staff is working tremendously hard, is very professional and really kind.

United KingdomThe food is very basic and average comparing with other hotels in Greece at the similar level. Indigo cooked our order wrong twice. We ordered fully cooked eggs for breakfast but the eggs came wobbly. The waitress surprisingly didn't apologize and instead insisted on cutting the eggs open to check! Can you not see the eggs are wobbly and opaque? The second time we ordered a well-done beef burger but the patty came pink in the middle. I'm on medication with a strict diet that no raw food can be taken. I'm disappointed that the restaurant doesn't take customers' diet restrictions seriously. It's not about what you think is the best for tasting. It's people's health and life. Saffron is ok. Choices of cooked vegetable dishes are very limited. Half of the buffet is salad, which seems to be disproportionate with the variety of other food. Meat and fish are grilled every day. It would be nice to have some steamed, stew or stir fry dishes for a change. Pearl is the best among the three restaurants. My partner ordered a veal dish. It was tasty but portion wise the edible part was smaller than a starter. Half of the steak was bone and the steak was very thin. We ordered almost €100 worth of food and my partner walked out hungry.
The hotel is beautiful. The beach is quiet and easy to reach by the lift. The staff is helpful and polite. Azure beach bar is our favourite. The shower in the room is very strong. The bed is very comfortable.

United Kingdomthe food is only okay. the breakfast buffet was good, lunch is ok (salads / sandwiches), but the dinner was a let down. the dinner buffet food is generic and bland (the 'asian' night is woeful, all the food felt pre made, probably the worst asian food I have ever eaten). the dinner at the poolside restaurant is also poor. lacking in taste and often dry - I could cook better myself. for a 5 start resort this was a real shame (also especially as there is nowhere close by to go to for food). we did not eat in the fine dining restaurant - but mainly because we didnt think the food was worthy of a bigger price tag (we were half board). the food doesnt need to be fancy - we were expecting simple but delicious and well cooked greek food.. there wasnt any greek food!
the pool and beach are stunning. one of the best oceans ive ever swam in and the pool is glorious. the overall hotel experience is first class and very comfortable. it is super clean and the staff are very friendly.
