Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesGreat location (Koukaki), and just generally I love a hotel that has everything I need and nothing I don't. Spotlessly clean, wonderful balcony, and a comfy little bed. It wasn't hot when I was there, but I'm glad there's a fan in the room and an extra charge for a/c -- I don't want to have to pay for a/c I'm not going to use--will always opt for a fan and open window if possible.

United KingdomThe only small thing was the noise of the rooms open and closing next to us, lots of banging doors and loud voices! All the doors are very close to each other so noisy when folk getting to WC but it didn't spoil our stay at all!
Very comfortable beds, clean, small space but had everything we needed. Great location, the Bread Factory just around the corner was fantastic for breakfast on way to the sights. We arrived late and were out most of the time so only met staff once but he was lovely - the communication through booking com was great, gave directions from the airport and address in both Greek and english

United StatesAbsolutely nothing I didn't like. Just keep in mind there is no elevator, so those with mobility issues or very heavy luggage might want to consider a room on the first floor.
Honestly the room rate at this hotel was so reasonable I wasn't expecting much. I'm leaving this review because I was so pleasantly surprised at the service, comfort and overall atmosphere at this little hotel that I feel it deserves high praise. First of all, the rooms are absolutely spotless. The bathroom was so clean it literally sparkled. Just so much attention to detail. The mattress was really comfortable and the only time I heard any noise at all was when someone was directly outside my door. Nothing at all from the other rooms. Koukaki is a fantastic neighborhood with so many interesting cafes and shops. It is an excellent choice if you want to be within easy walking distance to the main Athens attractions while experiencing some of the local flavor that you absolutely will not find in a neighborhood like Plaka, which, while beautiful, honestly feels a little too sterile. Even though the hotel is situated in a vibrant neighborhood full of Athenians doing their thing, the quiet cul-de-sac insulates it from the bustle and it was a pleasure to sit on my balcony in the evening and enjoy the peace. The staff. From front desk to cleaning, they are so helpful and just very pleasant to be around. I felt very welcome. Manos at the front desk had so much great advice, even about rather obscure places on Crete where I'm headed next. I was allowed to store my luggage after checkout, and he waited with me to make sure my taxi arrived on time. This hotel really is just a class act all around and I would 100% stay here again if I ever make it back to Athens. 11/5 stars.

United KingdomIf you are looking for luxury, this is not for you. But if you are looking for a room close to a Metro stop, a tram, bus lines and restaurants then this is a nice location. One drawback, no elevator, but the facility is adequate and in a convenient location.

United StatesWhen you are on the 2nd floor, you have 3 flights of stairs and no elevator. The desk person was helpful with getting my luggage to my room. The hotel is located at the end of a narrow street. The way cars park on the street, the taxi could not get in. So dragging 3 suitcases to the hotel became an issue.
Private, clean room with a bath in a quiet area.

ItalyTiny wardrobe, without drawers. Cluttered with extra pillows, blanket, safe, etc. : Almost useless
Small hotel in a incredibly quiet location, yet close to Metro station and sited at affordable walk distance from Acropoli. Very kind staff, good suggestions about restaurants nearby. Easy access also during Reception desk leave hours, on evening and night. Lack of elevator is a minor sacrifice, but elder guest should be aware, if rooms at upper floors are allocated.
