How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Very close to the beach and restaurants/tavernas ( 2 min ) . Nice garden and a lot of facilities inside the hotel. Parking in front of the entrance but with a big parking at 2 min distance just in case.

- the pillows were too big/high to sleep comfortable - the shower has the pressure of water too high and if you wanted to lower it, the shower stops, but you can live with that, is not such a big problem, just a nice to have. - breakfast until 11 would be great instead of 10 :)
- 2 minutes away from beach, restaurants, taverns and 30 minutes walking to cape Possidi; - the room was very clean and the towels/sheets were changed every day; - friendly staff, you could ask everything about the places around; - big private parking space; - great view from the balcony to the sea; - the room is equipped with everything that you need, including refrigerator / freezer and hair dryer, AC

The rooms were nice, always clean, and comfortable with wonderful view from the balcony. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was way better than a typical Greek continental hotel breakfast, highly recommended. Location was nice, close to the beach but yet very peaceful allowing for real vacation and get away.

Good breakfast, Niko is the classic greek host, attentive to customer needs (late arrival, extra clothes hangs, fixing some noisy stuff outside the room) and a very kind person along with his staff. A pleasant stay definitely.

Suggestion to update or change the entrance door.
Good location close to the see. The staff was very polite and friendly. The hotel have nice big balkony headed south to the see. Good breakfast.

Hotel Maria is an excellent resort. The breakfast buffet was delicious with many options. The staff were attentive and friendly and went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable. The location of the hotel is perfect - the beach is just 2 min away. Our room had a garden view that we enjoyed very much as it was so quiet and peaceful.

We liked the hotel's location - within walking distance of all the restaurants and places to eat. We had a small mix-up with our reservation, and the hotel owners were very kind and understanding.

It was a great vacation. The owner and his family are positive, kind and helpful people, ready to help in any situation. The hotel itself is very pleasant, in the courtyard there are tables and a hammock for everyone, set up so that people do not bother anyone in the evening. The rooms are clean and tidy, they are cleaned every day. I was very pleased with the mosquito nets the size of the door, there were never insects in the room. The location of the hotel is wonderful, five minutes walk to the beach. I want to return to this hotel, I recommend!

Breakfast is really good -tasty and varied every morning, selection of fruits. Good location - 2 mins to the beach. Clean rooms, cleaned every day, towels and bedding are nice, changed daily. Nice garden, family atmosphere. Good value for money!

Location is perfect. Beach and restaurants are at 3-4 minutes normal walking from the hotel. There is free parking neat to the hotel. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. Breakfast is delicious. Guests can order a coffee or something to drink at the bar located in the garden.

The Hotel owners were very loving and friendly people. They gave us a lot of tips what to see and to do in this area. The breakfast was very deliciously and healthy, large selection. The room was clean and had everything we needed (room service - cleaning/ new towels.. - everyday was there too). It had a really nice and quite big balcony on which it was very relaxing to sit because it was close to a garden and a site with only plants. The hotel was in the middle of a nice garden wich had lot of flowers, roses.. so it smelled very nice and was very cosy. Table tennis was there too. It took only about 5 minutes to go to one of the many restaurants and the beach. We had a very nice time and we would definitely come again, Thanks a lot!

The host was very pleasant and kind. All staff was actually simply great. Hotel's hygiene was on a very high level, and the cleaning lady itself is especially virtuous. The hotel's yard is excellent with great shades. The nearest beach, which is only 150 m from the hotel is also great.
