Be prepared for a lot of steps. It is the price of the great views and being away from the lower city hubbub.

The whole staff was welcoming. The location was central. The terrace looking out over the city was exceptional. Breakfast was homemade, delicious, and filling.

A unique property in the best part of Nafplio. The room and the bed were comfortable and the views of the town and the harbour were fantastic. The staff were very friendly and helpful and very keen to advise about the town, attractions, shopping and restaurants. The breakfast was excellent with traditional Greek food and the views from the terrace where it was served were unbelievable, Good place to visit the old castles of the town (within walking distance). Be prepared to clime a lot of steps as the property is at the highest point of the town. Highly recommended when you visit Nafpio.

We loved the room but wished it had a window (besides the window on the door) for cross ventilation and some privacy. But we only booked the night before, so perhaps we could have requested this, which we will do next time.

The view was exceptional - overlooking the red roofs of the town down to the azure sea. The bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable. The staff was extremely welcoming and kind, and Pedros was a pleasure to meet and talk with. We will definitely return soon!

The rooms had so much character, the view for breakfast was stunning, the location is very central with easy access to the rest of town, but the best thing by far was the staff. They were so warm and welcoming, it really made all the difference.

The owners and staff truly understand the word hospitality. We left feeling like we were departing from friends. The rooms were very clean, the view was superb and the bed was very comfortable. Old town on the side of a cliff so you park and walk down the hill with your luggage. But this applies to any place you stay in the area.

Wonderful part of old town, fantastic rooms, nice courtyard, great view. Nice owner & good traditional breakfast. Highly recommend.

Pension Marianna is a fantastic hotel located immediately adjacent to a historic fortress. The rooms are arranged on terraces proceeding up about six flights of stairs, so it is not for the feint of heart, although I am an overweight 60-something who walks with a cane, and it only took a little extra effort for me to make the stairs to my room and the breakfast room, where I enjoyed the most amazing view of the town and harbor. The picture below is from the office window. The breakfast was ample and good. Petros, the innkeeper, was a charming and friendly man. When he noticed my wife's rather uncommon Greek last name, he mentioned that his friend of the same name had a winery 15 minutes away in Argos. He called the winemaker and told him that there was an American at his hotel with the same surname, and we were invited to the winery. There, despite ascertaining that they were not related, we were treated like family. Throughout our stay in Greece, we were consistently impressed with the warmth and hospitality of the innkeepers, restaurant personnel, drivers, merchants, monks, and wine makers. Everywhere we went, we felt like old friends. Petros was the best among them. You will love your stay at Pension Marianna.

Beautiful studio, clean, bright with amazing sunset view every day of our stay right from our bed. This made our experience unique. We enjoyed the privacy and we stayed most of the time in the huge private sun terrace just for us. This was a true luxury as we wanted to relax. We hardly stayed indoors we just went in to sleep. Few steps from the beautiful square main square of Nafplio and all central sightseeing, amazing restaurants and cafes. If you see this place available book it without a second thought. Breakfast buffet was outstanding with local jams homemade pies and excellent service.

I would have liked an iron and ironing board in the room but this was provided upon request. Nothing else.

I loved the place. It is run by a family and it has that family touch that make you feel welcome. Very hospitable. The accommodation is authentically Greek and romantic. The views of Nafplio are amazing. There are lots of steps which is fine for most people but be aware in case you have a person who immobile. Breakfast was lovely - lots of nice food.

The only down side was the climb up the steps to get back to Marianna after an evening in town.

Marianna was a very pleasant, cheery guest house. The staff were lovely, the accommodation comfortable and the breakfast on the terrace pleasant.

Charming room with comfortable bed opening up to a beautiful courtyard; breakfast patio overlooking the bay with a nice selection of foods (don’t miss out on the yogurt! Many dishes have ingredients sourced locally or from their own farm); friendly owners. What’s not to love?
