United Kingdom9 reviews“Marias Sea House review”The lack of air conditioning downstairs made using that area a little uncomfortable in the extreme heat we had when we were there. Steps to bedroom are very steep which would preclude anyone with mobility issues booking this apartment.
Marias Sea House is in a beautiful setting nestled in Symi Harbour. It was a perfect base for our short stay in Symi.

The views were excellent. It's very near the ferry so no dragging cases.

There was an amazing view of the harbour entrance from the balcony. Every conceivable item of kitchen ware was available also a very useful ‘welcome pack’. Maria and Triantafyllos were exceptionally helpful in finding me a doctor on our day of arrival, nothing was too much trouble for them.

The apartment has a lovely outside seating area and balcony, but we couldn't use them as the drilling below was very loud, and it was too dusty to sit out. The builders were also plugged into the electricity in our apartment, which I didn't mind, but they didn't lock our door on leaving. Completely understand that building work needs to be done. I just wish we knew beforehand.
The location is excellent and it was very clean and well equipped. Lovely neighbours, too!

No glass silks on thr balcony so it is not possible to open. The stairs to upstairs are too steep, very dangeorus. Good for young people but not for elderly or kids. Someone has to clean the plugs, hair dryer and corners.
The location is great. The view is amazing. Everything is at walking distance. Staff was friendly and helpful. Thanks for the conplimentary bottle of wine.

We were greeted by one grumpy guy in Symi who just walked us to the house and made us feel like he was forced to be there. Not a single question about our stay nor info about the place and what to visit. It is definately value for money, but be prepared that it is like an airbnb without a host available. Also, the matresses could have been more comfortable and there could have been a selection of pillows. We ended up using the couch pillows because the ones provided were TOO high to sleep.
Location is literally on the sea, walking distance to the centre and no stairs at all to climb. House was clean and tidy, with all kinds of equipment provided (except for toiletries). Wifi and smart TV were big pluses Warm water and water pressure were great.
