Good location, one minute walk to the main street. Our room has a big terrace with a view of the sea and the city. The breakfast is better than expected, very good value. The breakfast lady was very helpful.

SpainI don’t have much to say that is even slightly positive. There was nobody on reception when we arrived nor throughout the stay. The door to our room required a swift kick to open it, the room had water all over the floor as the fridge did not close and the sink was filthy. These were our first impressions! The door doesn’t close, let alone lock to the filthy bathroom and the shower does not hang on the wall. The whole place was filthy. The beds are essentially prison bunks with dirty bedding. There is one plug socket in the whole room but nothing underneath it which meant our devices were left to dangle. I didn’t expect much for the price but this was another level of poor. For the same money we found a gorgeous little hotel around the corner so we checked out as soon as we could!
The location is fantastic and the street very pretty.

United StatesGeorge the owner runs hotel Mariona and Tarsanas, which are very comfortable and well-located. George himself is exceptionally kind and generous- I visited Pythagorio in the off-season, and even though I was the only guest he went out of his way to cook delicious meals and to make sure I had everything I needed. He also gave me a helpful map of the town and answered all of my many questions about Samos island. The rooms are simple and clean, but if you have not stayed in this kind of Greek "taverna and rooms" hotel before, keep in mind that this place is more like an old house than a conventional hotel chain. Some of the fixtures and appliances might be a bit run down, you might have to let the shower run for a few minutes in order to get hot water, things like that. The expectation is that you will go talk to the owner if there is any problem or anything you need.
