Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomJust a little noisy from next door, child opening and closing door late. Not the hotels fault. Really cool people.
Everything Brill. Very accommodating.

NetherlandsThe place is organized by a nice family and the friendly lady spoke perfectly English and knows a lot about the island to answer my questions about the island. The room was in the middle of the old centre town , and was the best price budget room I could find online , all was great and clean , a good bed and good shower. For me it was a perfect one day booking stay. nice and quiet just few steps walking from the busy street and shops and bars.

FranceExcellent location in a calm backstreet only metres away from the hustle-and-bustle of the central thoroughfares of Old Rhodes. Nice budget BnB vibe with the liveliness of a family-run place. Great (multilingual!) service and very good value.

GreeceThere is nothing really to dislike at all. If I was being particularly critical I’d say the Wi-Fi in our room wasn’t the strongest and wasn’t good enough for anything beyond checking emails and messages. Otherwise everything about the hotel was great.
Medieval Rose was perfect for our one night stay in Rhodes Old Town. It’s located just a few minuets from all the sites in the old town but also provides a quite heaven to rest at night.

ChileIt would be good to have a kitchen space available, having in mind that breakfast it's not included.
The location is perfect! The price/quality relation is ok, having in mind that the Old Town is usually expensive in high season.

United KingdomTo be honest there is nothing I didn't like. It's close to restaurants and shops and it is only a short walk to the Dodecanese ferry ,which suited me fine as I needed to catch it the morning after my stay.

United KingdomMy only gripe with the property was the night clubs near by, which you can hear if you have your windows open at night, but they soon just become background noise. Apart from that, this was the perfect place to stay!

United KingdomWe have stayed here twice before when we have either been flying in to or out of Rhodes for an island hopping trip. It is located in the Old Town, just off one of the main streets with shops/tavernas etc yet the property itself is quiet. We will definitely stay again when we next visit Rhodes. It is extremely good value for money.

SingaporeMy short visit to Rhodes was confusing and chaotic. BUT staying at Medieval Rose Hotel made the entire experience feel less confusing than it would have been, because I had an excellent, dependable, caring host. 1. The hotel is in the heart of the old town, and old town is basically a party town day and night! It's a great place if that's what you're looking for. There is a lot to see and experience in old town, so it may be fine for most travelers. 2. If you want to explore other parts of the island, it's hard to get out, takes half an hour to simply find parking outside the big wall if you rent a car (I also had a very hard time calling a cab to the ferry terminal on my first day), and then often inconvenient to walk up and down fifteen minutes to your parking spot each time. Inconvenient, BUT some would say it is worth it.
Stay here if you want homestay feels!! The location is perfectly central and is great for anyone looking to explore old town. Olga and her husband Vassilis are amazingly accommodating. They took care of us like visiting relatives, not guests, and I was amazed that they are this caring towards everyone who stays with them. Because we were having trouble figuring out how to return our car/catch our early morning ferry, Olga personally spent a lot of time exploring possible alternatives with me so that I could do this on my own. Finally, they offered the craziest, most generous offer I have ever encountered-- they helped us at 3 am with our luggage. We are eternally grateful!
