How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Friday and Saturday nights party on the street is unbelievably loud. Sleeping in the room with the door closed will be a challenge.
Fantastic location very comfortable stay and friendly staff. Accessible to the port via a train stop, connectivity to all over the city of Athens, via trains and lovely access to a lot of food places.

Balcony great! So close to the Metro station. Many restaurants close by. Piraeus a very manageable town to get around. Marina area particularly pleasant. Five minute cab ride from cruise ports.

All good.
Perfect location, one half block from metro station and five minute drive to cruise port. Many restaurants and pedestrian streets. Marina close by which is nice to stroll around. Huge balcony.

Loved everything
Maria was very personable and accommodated all of our needs. She was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and gave wonderful advice on attractions and restaurants. The property was beyond what I expected. The location was perfect for public travel. The bedrooms were nice sizes with beauty decor. The balcony had a complete view of the street and square.

Some street noise. Door keys also had card that controlled apt electronics so one person couldn’t leave without having no electricity

Excellent location, near some nice restaurants and most importantly walking distance to the port if you need to catch an early ferry from Piraeus.

I didn’t like how dark the lobby is. There is this man sitting in the dark almost seeing everyone that comes in and out of the complex. The thing is that he is not friendly and looks very rough and unfriendly. I didn’t feel welcomed at all every time I went in or out of the lobby. That’s a shame.
I loved the location and the easy access to everything. Maria was wonderful!

It was a tad noisy being so close to the bars, etc but that’s to be expected on a Saturday night so no big deal. Bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper.
Great location. Tram stop outside and lots of cafes and restaurants just across the street. Great host. Maria was so lovely and helpful. Clean and beautiful apartment.

Maria our host was absolutely fabulous very warm and welcoming and told us everything we needed to know real Greek hospitality our 2 bed unit was everything we needed for a family of 6 was close to everything had very comfortable beds ,great air con , great water pressure , close enough to port for a one night stopover , great ambience night lights of the street

Great property close to the port at Piraeus and to heaps of restaurants. Ideal if you need to stay close to catch a morning ferry to the islands. Would highly recommend this property. The host, Maria was extremely helpful when we received the keys.

Water/coffee/cream would be nice to include but shops are just outside apartment.
Close to heart of Piraeus. Quiet, clean & comfortable. Maria met us promptly for check in.

Bathrooms. Could do with upgrading them to match the rest of the apartment. Also the rugs in the bedrooms could do with some grippers on them, as they are very slide, could really hurt yourself if not vey careful.
The location and the balcony were great, and rooms are very tidy.

Nothing. Everything was great!
Spacious, well equipped and beautifully decorated apartment at a great location. It was very convenient to the Piraeus port. The space was clean and comfortable. The extra powder room was a plus, but without the 2 bathroom price. A variety of shops and restaurants were right across the street. A nice neighborhood to get around in. We walked to the marina to catch a hop on hop off bus, and toured Athens that way. Maria was a terrific host. She was very accommodating and pleasant to communicate with. I did weeks of research to find the perfect place and location. I’m so glad I found it!
