I thought Anna was the owner, but now I think she might have been an employee to manage and clean the apartments. I wish I'd left her a massive tip! Next time.
Where to start?! The best accommodation on the island. 1) The location is wonderful with views over the coast and of the nearby hamlet (and of Karpathos from the kitchen window). There's a lovely 5/10 min walk down to the nearest beach and Taverna. Then a 10/15 min walk to town. All so relaxing and beautiful. You don't need a car unless you have mobility problems. 2) Anna was great and when we arrived she explained everything (with the help of google translate and a phone call to a friend!). 3) The beds were comfy (We requested a double bed instead of twin beds when we booked and they said no problem) 4) The shower was fine and the water hot 5) The terrace is to die for 6) We were given a lift from Kasos tours to and from the accommodation (free) - so kind. 7) We also hired electric bikes (from Kasos tours - also wonderfully friendly and helpful) for 3 days and saw the villages and beach further away. I totally recommend this. 8) The teabags, crackers, butter, jam and milk (mini cartons) were appreciated. 9) We were allowed to keep the room until our late afternoon ferry, which was sooo helpful!

Originally the hosts wanted to assign us a different room than the one we booked. Near the apartments lived two dogs, one of them on a chain. I have a dog of the same breed, it was very hard to watch.
beautiful view of the sea. Hosts welcoming and helpful. The apartment is about 10-15 minutes away from the city on foot. But that's what we wanted. It was quiet, the stars beautifully visible. While falling asleep we heard the sound of the sea. We spent a pleasant time.

United Kingdom53 reviews5 helpful votes“Home from Home”There was so much to like about Meltemi The view from the balcony out over the Aegean, watching the ships come and go, whilst sipping on local wine was so relaxing Ana, the host was so very welcoming and the studio was kept so clean with the best white towels ...ever! The hospitality we received was overwhelming,the family even invited us to join them for Sunday lunch, goat, potatoes and bread, all cooked on the wood fired oven. Thank you Ana for a lovely two weeks

We spent 3 days at this apartment. It was a little bit small but enough for a family of 4 people and for a stay of 3 days. The scenic view from the terrace on the Aegean sea was absolutely amazing. It was close to Fry (2 km) but to reach the apartment the car is highly recommended. The apartment is isolated so during the night there were no noise. We slept very well. The host was very nice to us and let us stay in the apartment beyond the check out time. Thumb up.

United Kingdom69 reviews7 helpful votes“Wonderful host, wonderful location, wonderful accommodation, but a word of caution”At the second property at Meltemi there were 2 dogs which appeared to be kept on a chain ( one chain was probably 2 metres long) pretty much all day, every day of our trip. One of the dogs used to cry and howl and it distressed me listening to it. If this doesn’t bother you then Meltemi is a 10/10. I mention it here because if you love dogs it may take the shine off your stay.
A very large room with great views over the port. Super location up the hill with a fairly easy walk down to the town beach and the local taverna. We felt well looked after and I would love to return one day if the point below is addressed
