How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

not much!
great location - 5 mins to port area but restaurants right in front of the hotel. close to water/beach really lovely helpful reception staff - supported us planning our itinerary and gave lots of tips and advice great size room very spacious and handy fridge and storage nice that breakfast was included and they opened it for us on our departure morning due to leaving before start time nothing luxurious but it was a great value for money ideal location stay with friendly staff

The owner was very attentive to our needs, she absolutely wanted us to have the best experience. When we checked out at 6 am the day of our departure, she made sure coffee was ready for us with a package of cookies for us to take with us. Such a delightful lady and her staff. Would go back there if we go back to Milos.

Cannot think of anything honestly. I was hoping it was more cave-like but the pictures were a bit misleading
Breakfast was delicious! Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Locked belongings in safe and code wouldn't work - staff unlocked using master key SO THANKFUL. Walking distance to port/center with shops and restaurants. Felt safe walking at night

Room is pretty small, small bathroom with the typical Greek shower that doesn't contain the water.
Friendly staff, very clean and great location to the main town area, waterfront and restaurants. Very good breakfast! Also close enough to walk with luggage to the ferry, and short car ride from the airport. Safe, quiet location. Convenient market around the corner. We had a top floor room which seems to have less issue with noise from the hall and other guests. Enterprise car rental one block away as well as a large, free parking area in addition to the free parking at the hotel.

I think they need a bigger sign from the main road.
The manager provided excellent service, she went out of her way to help us with our tours. The breakfast was very good, it met all expectations. Plenty of variety and very fresh and well cooked and presented.

Our stay was delightful, staff and owner were lovely and most helpful. The only suggestion is perhaps clearer signage or instructions on how to find the hotel. We asked many people and they did not know.

Thee location was amazing. The rooms were aesthetic and pretty but nothing compared to the staff. The lady at the reception in the afternoon was so sweet and nice. She recommended places that we could visit. Then when our ferry got cancelled she informed us about it and accommodated us for another night. Very thankful to her.

The room was clean and so spacious! Beds were comfortable and air con worked a treat. The staff were always very friendly and helped us store our bags and get changed after we had checked out.

Nothing at all
The property was conveniently located to the port, restaurants, shopping & swimming areas. The bus stop was just around the corner that travelled to all the main destinations & beaches with a small charge of 2 euro. I seriously couldn’t speak highly enough about Milos hotel & the staff. Presentation and cleanliness impeccable. Breakfast absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this hotel.
