Great staff, service and rooms

nothing to mention at this point. the staff was great. the brekfast while nice, could be faster. the menu is as per request, but this can cause delays if by coincidence all the rooms come down at the same time. we had a hard time to get a table as the staff was short.

breakfast was amazing. the room with a modern design, plenty of space and comfort. the roothtop is magnificent and we were lucky with the perfect weather at this time of the year.

I mean, I would have to be nitpicking, but the breakfast was just fine. Don't get me wrong, we just prefer buffet more than plates that you order. The shower, for some reason, did not drain when switched on, then when the shower head was off, it started draining. Not a big issue, just a bit of water on the floor that we had to wipe after.

The hotel is very stylish with all the stone The location is perfect - very close to harbour. Even though there was no parking, Sifaka street is very close, so you can pull up literally like 10m from the hotel. The staff is very helpful and professional We had a room with a roof jacuzzi, and it was splendid

The renovations done to the momastery are stunning. Keeping old elements in their rightful state, combining them with contemporary elements. The staff was very friendly and very helpful in all our requests. It's very well located in the old town in walking distance of the port. The rooftop view of our room is absolutely stunning, with a clear view on the white mountains.

The hot tub on the terrace is a bit worn out and not well cleaned.

Very atmospheric and great service. Good central old town location. The restaurant serves very good breakfast and dinner.

one improvement point may be the kids bed, for a kid of 14 years was may be not enough confortable he spleede well but more in terms of noise whem moving, but nothing really bad during our stay be sure of it an improvement gift :)))

A small point for noise sensitive people - choose a room in the main part of the hotel - not in the opposite building - it overlooks a busy street with bars that don't close until 5am. Although the windows are double glazed you can still hear music and loud voices.

Everything was exceptional: the room decor, the facilities, the cleanliness, the customer service in the restaurant and the breakfast is amazing!

I can't rave enough about this place. Superb location, two minutes walk from the central square and harbor, yet quiet with no traffic. The room was spacious and had more amenities than could put to good use. Super comfortable and clean. The staff is gracious and helpful. The "free breakfast" doesn't begin to describe the wonderful meal to get you through the whole day. We went in October, when the crowds were down, the sun was just right, and the price was far below the tourist season.

The sink area needed better lighting and larger mirror for getting ready. Would have liked some floor lamps for a softer feel in the room

It was unique with the visible ruins! Service was good. Enjoyed the fresh juice and basket of bakery items at breakfast! Was very nice to have a tote and towels provided to take to the beach.

Add a sign in the bathroom to remind guests that you cannot put toilet paper in the toilet.

Fantastic service throughout. The restaurant and included breakfast was excellent! The staff are outstanding, particularly Stella, Costa, and Stephania (from restaurant).

Bathtub and shower(hand held) needed a glass to separate from the bed area as so easy to splash everywhere. Esp it had a bench seat to place clothes but u can't stop the water flying everywhere. Bathmat too tiny so unknowingly when u splatter water onto the concrete and someone walks past or u do so after u literally fly up slipping.

The porter was the nicest man. He is the tall man and always smiling and helpful. All staff are helpful. Design within a heritage building amazing The 1hr complimentary use of the Hamman/spa was amazing if only it was heated. Love our room with a decking and outdoor jacuzzi. Beautiful large bathtub however the only way to have a minimal splash shower was to sit like a baby in a tub. 😆

No kettle to make tea. Only fridge was the minibar which you couldn't put your own bottles in.

Understanding that it is a historical old town and narrow roads but I feel the hotel could have prepared guests better especially when we were trying.to find a space to unload the luggages. I am surprised that there is no parking bay to unload the luggages. It was very stressful being honked by trucks and cars when we were trying to unload all four passengers luggages. Fortunately in desperation I called the hotel as we could not even see where it actually was and they sent down our helpful porter. The bath tub inside the room was just amazing but if I can suggest that there needs to be a glass separator between the bed and the bathtub to stop the water splashing out if you are standing and trying to have a shower. There should also be a provision of a large bath mat at the base of the steps as my husb who is very tall did his best to sit inside the bathtub to have a shower . He was trying to avoid splashing water into the bed side but instead all the water was splashing toward the walk in robe and I came along and did a ballet split as I could not see the wet floor. However despite this I really love the architecture and the interior design.

The detail given to the restoration of the historical site. The spa time of 1 hour that was included was amazing although the water could have been a little warmer.. Having an upper floor room and the hot tub on the decking. It was amazing! Having breakfast in the courtyard felt like we were ion set of a movie. The kind and helpful porter/concierge. We fell in love with chania.

The staff was incredible, you could not ask for better. Our room, 102 has a step up to the bathroom area. I tripped several times and so did my husband. There should be something showing you that step. Also there was a light out in the stairwell going down to the lobby. It was scary because you could not see the stairs well at the bend. The breakfast was the best of any hotel I have stayed in in the world. The ladies in the dining room are delightful. I can’t wait to come back to Crete to stay in The Monestary again (but in room 103). Wonderful stay!

Everything was amazing . I talked with the hotel before they arranged all my requests (and they were a lot) . Was my anniversary with my wife so I wanted everything to be above expectations. Recommend to book the room with the private jacuzzi. Dinner also up to standards . You can have breakfast in the room as an option. The place is quite and all the stuff from the front desk and restaurant super friendly and accommodating . I would definitely go back anytime .
