I'm sooooo happy I've tried their breakfast this time, it's so amazing , very nicely packed in a special wooden box, with tasty fresh ingredients, bringing special comfort in eating it in my room. Didn't expect such an experience to be so enjoyable and convenient! , will definitely make sure to order it again in my next stay!

I really liked everything, but here are some things you should be aware of. It's on a busy street, which by itself is not a problem. Once you get used to the pedestrian signals on the traffic lights, it's easy to walk around the area. And the hotel is well-built, so noise from the street doesn't intrude. But tours that say they'll pick you up at your hotel declined to pick us up, presumably because the street is too busy and narrow for buses to stop. Or maybe because technically it's not located downtown in the tourist area; again, for me is a plus. Also some taxi drivers didn't know where it is. Breakfast was good, but IMHO over-priced @ 19€ (IIRC) for a cold, boxed breakfast. After the first time, I would just stop at a convenience store (about a block away) the night before and buy yogurt, fruit, and juice for about 5€ and have it as the next day's breakfast. (I travel with my own tea bags.) The chambermaid cleaned up each morning. This is not a hotel in the traditional sense of having a main desk. The staff was there to greet us when we arrived, but often we had to contact them via What's App. They always responded within minutes, but don't expect something more traditional.

The room was fantastic -- essentially a large, studio apartment, with a view of the Acropolis. Compared to other places in Athens, it's a great bargain. The people who run it also are fantastic: friendly, helpful, smart, knowledgeable, and willing to go out of their way to help you. The place is spotless, modern, well-equipped, and very functional. Our room had a fridge, stovetop, microwave, toaster, water boiler, dishes, silverware, Greek olives, and a bottle of ouzo 😃. Several good restaurants are about a block away, but the neighborhood is out of the tourist mainstream; a real, nice residential neighborhood. Nonetheless, it's about a 10 minute walk from downtown Athens. A group of architects had their offices in the building, and then a bit over a year ago they decided to turn it into a hotel. This shows in the tasteful beauty of the rooms. If I had to summarize, I'd say you can tell the people who run the place went to architecture school, not hotel school. It's more like short-term apartment rentals than traditional hotel rooms. For me this is a plus.

"Monastik Living in Athina" is definitely a  unique authentic boutique hotel built and designed from the heart with love! From the moment I walked through the doors, I felt surrounded with a sense of comfort and relaxation that continued throughout my entire stay. This hotel is beyond amazing; words fail to capture its uniqueness, warm and inviting atmosphere. Starting from the lovely welcoming basket of carefully selected ingredients, To the views, the design, the passionate staff, the beautiful interior that is decorated with a keen attention to every detail, creating a cozy and welcoming ambiance. The rooms are VERY clean and tastefully decorated with a mix of classic touches and advanced facilities. Everything was controlled digitally starting from check in/ accessing the room/ the roof/ the lighting...etc Great location with a walking distance to the best historical attractions. I can't get over the magical moment of  watching the sunset from the rooftop jacuzzi with a stunning view of Acropolis! Such a romantic getaway and a peaceful escape, just the right place for creating wonderful memories! Can't wait for my next stay!

I'm so glad I came across this hotel. I ended up staying an extra week (two weeks total), upgrading to a room with a view on the acropolis. The staff was lovely, checking in with me daily for breakfast requests, which they delivered the next morning at whatever time I wanted. I needed laundry done twice, it was ready the next day. The housekeeping staff even sewed on a button that one of my shirts had been missing. Both of my rooms were great, with no noise from the streets below. The rooms/suites are like mini apartments. You have all the amenities you need for short or long stays alike. There's plenty of storage and a small kitchen if you want to shop for snacks. The housekeeping staff does an excellent job at cleaning every day. The location is great as well, 10-15 minute walk from the center and to the acropolis. It's also 10 minutes walk away from Pangrati, which is one of the trendier neighborhoods in Athens with cool restaurants and bars. For warmer months, the hotel is also a block away from the main boulevard that leads directly to the city's beaches (30-40 minutes). The hotel has a shared rooftop with an amazing view of the acropolis, along with a jacuzzi and lounge chairs to hang out in the sun or in the shade. I didn't get much use out of these during my stay because it was a bit chillier and because I was running around to see family, local museums, and other touristic activities. In the summer, however, I would have taken advantage of the rooftop much more.

Didn’t love that the property gives out to a busy road and it’s immediate surrounding, but this is quickly forgotten once in the building as soundproofing was top notch and within walking distance to most amenities.

Overall an AMAZING stay - Boutique hotel vibes, the most beautifully designed rooms I’ve stayed at, with all home comforts you need. Even a mini kitchenette! Truly felt like coming home after a long day. A rooftop terrace offering a jacuzzi with views overlooking the sunset the Acropolis was a perfect spot to relax. There isn’t a bar or restaurant here, intentionally, as to incentivize experiencing Athens like a local. The host/owner’s was always readily available and keen to help. Just a couple blocks away on Anapafseos, there is a selection of markets, coffee shops, restaurants and bars. Conveniently located, about 10 mins walk to reach Acropolis/Plaka or Panathenaic Stadium, and less than 20 mins walk to Ermou in Monasteraki/Syntagma.

The surroundings of the bldg itself is not great.... it is walking distance to Acropolis and all the great places for dining and shopping.

We stayed for only 1 night. The room is outstanding, the design and decor are superb, done with the idea of getting a "WOW" from you at many instances. They have thought of everything to make you stay feel luxurious, everything is top notch, nothing was done cheaply or in a rush to meet the basics. What you get vs what you pay is unbelievable. The view of the Parthenon from your bed beats anything!

The location is a bit far from the city center, but it's still worth it.

We’re stayed at Monastik last weekend. It was very good, quite, comfortable and clean. The staff was very kind and pleasant. The room was big and the rooftop was very nice. Highly recommended!

It was an excellent choice and was the cherry on the top. There is no better way than sleeping in the gorgeous view of the Acropolis. The welcome was so warm, and the staff was so nice. The room design is beautiful and what you need is available with a high quality. To make long short, Monastik will be my choice next time I visit Athena.

I could hardly find anything that I would dislike about this place, even though I’m usually very picky. Everything was perfect.

This hotel was a dream come true! It combined style, breathtaking views, perfect location, and great value. Every corner was sparkling new, filled with authentic touches. The decor was simply gorgeous! Waking up to the stunning Acropolis view was magical. The room was very cozy, equipped with every imaginable comfort, plus a delightful welcome basket. The owner has personally showed me around and made sure I was happy with my stay. A must-visit gem!

The property is brand new, we were among the first guests to stay and is from now my favourite place to stay in Athens. Upon arrival a welcome basket was awaiting for us, the place and the room were spotless clean and the design is amazing with many personal touches. The room is honestly something of a work of art. But what stole the show was the view of the Acropolis from the room. It’s even better than what the pictures show. The suite is fully equipped with everything you might need. We strolled around the adjacent streets and you have many options to have a drink or eat something. Monastik is a must if you usually dream to stay where the architecture front pages are made, and not only. We will be sure back!

The surrounding with a shop next door which is rather annoying when you go out however when inside you are not disturbed whatsoever.

A very good offering and great rooms very well designed with an outstanding view if your opt for the Parthenon view suites. The manager as well as the owner go the extra mile to please you. Within walking distance from the main attractions and downtown.
