Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Absolutely everything!! Has to be the best hotel experience we've had. Large comfortable rooms, very clean and lovely pool to top it off! Location, free breakfast, live music and dancing on Monday evenings. Most importantly the great staff all the way around and their desire and willingness to help. Alex and Ana stood out as we had the most interactions with them but the rest of the staff was great as well; including Cristol (sp?) - the owner.

MOSSA was the most beautiful hotel, our stay was 10/10. We cannot fault the staff, they went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we need, even organising a beautiful birthday cake for my partner and a lunch box each when we left as we had to check out early morning. The food is fresh and delicious and the room was spacious and spotless! Such a calm and tranquil place to relax.

SwedenNot an issue for us but might be for others - no elevators if you have a room on the upper floor. I would suggest you ask for a room on ground floor if stairs is an issue.
We had a wonderful stay at the Mossa hotel. The hotel is a smaller one with fewer guest which was fantastic. The service was fantastic with a more laidback approach. We felt truly welcomed. Amazing pool area, was never crowded and no race to find sun beds early in the morning. Environmental friendly and healthy approach Spacious room for three adults with balcony (superior double room) with AC and a fan Huge bathroom with full wide mirror Set menu for breakfast with complementary, healthy and tasty Open, solution oriented and genuine staff Calm and quiet neighborhood Free parking space Bus stop to the city 1 minute from the hotel entrance (takes approx 20 mins) 3 beaches within 10 min walking distance Tavernas/restaurants nearby 15 mins walk/ 5 min car ride to nearest supermarket FYI - reception available from 8Am to 11PM, breakfast opens at 8 If you are looking to relax and enjoy your stay in Chania, Mossa is a great place for it. Huge thank you to Christos, Clarissa and Alex for your service during our stay and sharing suggestions on what to do and where to go.

FranceVery nice and perfect clean, small hotel. Nice and helpful staff and owner:). Calm nights. The breakfast was excellent, maybe too big portions for me, so I’ve asked for a half regularly. Four very nice sandy beaches in walking distance, they are all a bit different so you can make your choice daily and even snorkeling is very nice a bit deeper, on the rocky sides. Bus stop close to the hotel, buses circulating frequently to Chania. We (4 adults) have spent fabulous nine days there, discovering the region, (Balos, Stavros beaches, Chania, Rethymno, Theriso gorge) having great beach time, eating super tasty foods. We came home yesterday ready to return tomorrow. Bravo and thank you Mossa!

United KingdomThere isn't much to say here, however as a guest checking in to a hotel on their birthday, it would have been nice to receive a thoughtful surprise or gesture, adding an extra touch of magic and creating cherished memories for the occasion. I felt like this occasion was insignificant to them and as someone who has worked in 4 star and 5 star hotels, it doesn't take much of an effort to provide a little something complimentary to celebrate with the guest. All the other restaurants and hotels that we went to, said "happy birthday" and provided me with a little extra something to celebrate. Mossa didn't!
Mossa was our second hotel during our trip and it was definitely well worth visiting. We were able to check in earlier than 3pm and Kristos helped us understand our surroundings and explain what the hotel had on offer for guests. The bar staff, Alex and Everi (if I remembered correctly) were exceptional and to be honest they made our stay worthwhile. They were professional and very helpful. The hotel room is well equipped and we were able to rest well since our previous hotel was next to the restaurant and we were disturbed at the beginning of breakfast. Which brings me to my next point. THE BREAKFAST HERE IS INSANE! If anything I would just go back just for the breakfast. As it was my birthday the day we checked in and we went to bed late, the staff bought us breakfast to our room on the first morning because I wasn't feeling very people-y and I thought they were spoiling me with extras. But it turns out that's just how they do breakfast! The pool area is so relaxing and the menus offered throughout the day are also exquisite and healthy. I loved being so close to 3 beaches and a spot to watch the sunset. There is also a city bus straight to Chania's centre, close the bus station, the bus stop is right outside of Mossa.

MaltaThe room and the property was great. The staff were extremely helpful as was the owner who went out of his way to suggest places which we could visit while on our trip. The property is just 20 minutes away from Chania by car and right by the beaches where there are some nice places to go have a drink or eat. It's also great to go for a walk or jog in the morning close by. Facilities are also superb.

This hotel is excellent. It is very well situated with the lovely sandy beaches just a short distance across the shady pine filled park. There are good resturants close by or a 40 minute walk / 15 minute cycle or 10 minutes on the bus (1 to 2 euro each way) will take you to the beautiful old town of Chania. The venetian harbour or the narrow backstreets are full of fantastic places to eat. Back to the hotel, the staff will help you with the best places to go. The staff are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble and they are extremly friendly. The facilities are great with a refreshing pool and the most comfortable sun-beds we have ever used. The gym is clean, compact and functional. The room and balcony were spotless with clean bed linen and towels and pleasantly air conditioned. Food wise, it's the breakfasts that are the best, with a wonderful table served choice. The owner is a wonderful host and truly wants all the guests to have a wonderful experience. If you go, you will have just that.

On Monday evening there was a Greek night, with live music, dancing. We requested and obtained late check out. When we left the hotel, we received a small gift from their side.
