Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyThe shower is a bit of an adventure with the hot water hard to regulate and a shower curtain that closes in the shower plus the toilet.
Its position in the romantic village amidst beautiful vegetation and a well-kept garden and yard. The room with traditional furniture and objects from earlier times. The yard with rose bushes where you can sit or dine outside. The self-service breakfast with pita, eggs, toast, bougatsa and homemade jam. The communal kitchen/sitting/dining room area at your disposition any time with lots of things to look at. The very friendly, helpful and generous host who together with his family also owns the Mikri Arktos restaurant at the village square where we enjoyed a nice dinner and good local wine.

RomaniaI had an incredible experience staying in a home reserved through Booking.com, hosted by a wonderful young individual named Christo s. The host's warmth and enthusiasm truly made my stay unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, they went out of their way to ensure I felt comfortable and had everything I needed. The home itself was charming and well-maintained, offering all the amenities I could ask for. The host's local recommendations led me to some hidden gems I wouldn't have discovered otherwise. It's rare to find such a hospitable and engaging host, and their genuine passion for creating a memorable stay was evident throughout. I can't wait to return to this cozy haven hosted by such a remarkable individual.

RomaniaBeing a location with lots of antics and history it is normal to not have all the confort in world, so if I should say one thing that I didn’t like this would be the bed, it was confortable but it made noses every time we would move on the other side.
We stayed here one night and it was amazing, the view was breathtaking and the location is on an old town with lots of history. The owner was very friendly and even recommended us a place to eat (local food and wine close to ower location). We were very impressed by the location, view and even breakfast was very good (fresh fruits, juice, sandwici, boiled egg, butter, choco, honey and bread)

RomaniaThat i could not spend more time in the area and we had to go the next day
It was great to be able to keep in contact with the owner before our late arrival. Although he had a busy tavern to manage he found time to explain everything we had to know about the property which is unique, a traditional greek village house made of stone. The objective to see in the area is Aege with the tomb of Philip IInd and Veria town.

TurkeyVery comfortable and nicely decorated family owned boutique hotel. Rooms have a very nice balcony with a beautiful mountain view and sound of the river. Christos welcomed us very well with all the instructions and local recomendations. Breakfast was perfect with nice traditional touches. There is a tavern very close to the hotel called Mikri Arktos, food is made by Christos’ mother, highly recomended!

RomaniaWe stumbled upon this place, rushed by the nightfall, while in transit to other part of Greece...while the journey to property, as exiting the motorway was just a bit long, let's say, driving on some narrow and twisted mountain roads in the middle of the night, what we have found at the end of the trip completely astonished us, we were in absolute awe of the property and the village itself, a journey worthwhile of every penny (and even more than that). Location is absolutely spectacular, a small traditional Greek holiday-homes village on a mountain slope, with its true jewel being this amazing place, Milos, Cristos's bed and breakfast (hope my Greek spelling of Cristos' name is correct). Though we have arrived late in the night, Cristos welcomed us to his nearby restaurant and received us with open arms into the village and his accommodation, with some great and delicious Greek food. The property is a former traditional water mill and you can only hear around the birds humming and water flowing, incredible quietness (we've seen only 2 people in the village, in almost 24h) on a beautiful garden grounds . Cristos has done a magnificent job of preserving the authentic character and retro style of the entire place, everything around transports you back in time, decades ago, but giving you still all the comfort of the present modern days. Cristos was remarkably kind and nothing was too much for him, the breakfast he has arranged for us was sublime, and included even home-made natural and divine jams. In true honesty, words can not fully express Milos's beauty, nor can give you the true dimension of our sublime experience. We were in tears for leaving and vowed to ourselves that we'll return.

DenmarkIf I have to list one thing it would be that the shower area is a bit small and the shower head could not be placed in the holder on the wall.
The house is absolutely fantastic, old stone building placed in the middle of a tidy little mountain village. Christos is a wonderful host!

True experience of local hospitality, both in the village as well as by the hosts, who even took us on a hiking trip to show us the area. The guesthouse and surrounding are very quiet at night so we slept very well. Beautiful garden with fresh fruits. Perfect place for a few relaxing days of hiking and local Greek experience.
