Worst thing was finding the location! The number in the address isn't quite enough, it took us off uphill until we realised that we needed to use the name of the hotel in Google Maps. It is a busy road and the sign is quite small in a delicate font so you need to have your eyes peeled if you are driving there.

Breakfast was a lot of choices including healthy options and plenty of coffee. The host was very friendly and everything was very smooth and easy. The beds and rooms are big and spacious.

We requested a bed for a small baby, we received a bed, which smelled like old urine (whole bed with materace), after one night all our things and clothes smelled like urine, whole room was smelly. Smell was so strong, it woke us up at night.

Best thing was localisation, very private, swimming pool next to the beach, great breakfast by the swimming pool 🥰

The ocean is right in front of hotel and can swim in the pool from 10 am. The sea in front of hotel is stony, so a short walk will take to a sandy beach. The staff is very friendly and always working quickly. The kitchen is attached so can cook anytime. Very nice place to relax. You may need a car.

We booked 2 rooms (one for 2 teenager kids) and we asked them to be located on the same floor. This couldn't be accommodated on our arrival. We were offered a room swap from halfway of our stay (day 5), but it would have meant packing out-in-out again, so we opted to stay in the original room. This room was newly made, and some bits were still unfinished. Our daughters actually didn't mind this at all and turned out they were happy staying away from parents too, haha!

We loved our stay at the Musela Studios to bits! It's a lovely family run hotel 15 mins drive from Rethimno, next village is 2mins (you need a car!) It's super quiet and you have an entire beach to yourself that is 10 steps from the pool! The pool are was always clean, parasols were great and beachbeds were super comfy! Rooms were comfortable and cleaned every day. You can get beach towels for 5€ deposit. Bar had a good selection of refreshments, cocktails, and snacks. Breakfast was nice, not a massive bar bit a good variety of sweet and savoury options, proteins, fruits and a good coffee machine. We were allowed a very late checkout that allowed us to have access to our room till the evening (we had a late night flight...). This was super convenient! Manulis, Paris and Alkis were lovely hosts, super kind and helpful at all times.

The only thing that wasn't the best on the island was the breakfast, but we are a bit spoiled in this area. We personally would prefer a bit more fresh fruits or a fruit-salad and maybe some home-made products like honey for example.

For us this was the best accommodation on the island, a very practical location, amazing room, directly on a calm beach (calm on weekdays, probably different on weekends), nearest beach bar with chilling music in walking distance - about 10 minutes walk on the beach.

Only one restaurant in walking distance. Steep stairs to our room.

Friendly staff. Well equipped room. Excellent continental breakfast. Right on the beach. Swimming pool. Easy parking.

I like that the hotel seems to be as new opened. It is literally on the beach. The room was with sea view and had a fantastic sensation to watch and hear the waves. The beds were comfy and big enough. The room was also clean and big enough, with a nice and wide balcony. The breakfast was good and fair for the money we payed, with good alternatives for vegetarians too. The hosts were very nice and always ready to help with anything we need, from a good reccomandation to eat or true smiles.

Not very close any shops but this makes it more isolated/relaxing. We walked down the beach each day to the shops but I would recommend hiring a car if you visit as it’s a long walk. Easy to get a taxi just ask for the card at reception.

We really loved our stay. Nice pool and feels special to have the pool on the seafront - beach is very quiet so feels like a private beach. Lovely breakfast and very friendly staff. Amazing value

It wasn’t a wifi connection in room 21, and I spoke about it with the staff who told me they’ll fix it. Never happen.

Nice apartment on the main road with a small and clean pool. The staff is very kind and pleasant. Good money/quality relation.

I travel a lot and been to many places but this was one of my favorites stays, everything was just perfect! If you want to take your rest this is it! Location is nice and calming, the staff was really nice en friendly, rooms are really clean and everyday we had a nice breakfast! I recommend it and I for sure will come back!!

Everything was perfect! The best hotel if you want to spend vacation in quiet space without many people. Beach in front of the hotel was empty all the time - priceless experience :) Nice room. Small but nice and modern bathroom. Cleaning, changing sheets and towels every 2 days. Good breakfast, good coffee! :) even music they played was relaxing! For dinner they recomended local taverna located 850m from the hotel - delicious food there!! Very good and friendly stuff! We are so happy that we found this place :)
