Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Beautiful property, a truly mesmerising stay spent here. The location is perfect, away from the tourist crowds. Somewhere to truly unwind, get lost in the dreamy views of this traditional kefalonian palace. Katerina, the owner was a fantastic host. She looked after us, made us a delicious breakfast with local ingredients. We spent our mornings on the terrace listening to music and admiring the hilltop views. This was such a special stay. We hope to come back again!

United Kingdomit was perfect for our short weekend stay.
Katerina was such a joy to meet. Our plane was delayed and we didn’t arrive until after midnight and she was still there at the doorway to greet us. Myself and my two kids had fascinating conversations with her over a delicious breakfast. This feels like staying at her home rather than a hotel. She gave us some great recommendations of places to go.

We were fortunate to arrange a night at the Museum Hotel George to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. From the minute we walked through the arched wooden gates, we were not just transported back in time but into tranquility. This is truly a unique and beautiful hotel, and the attention to detail in the restoration is outstanding. Katerina is a wonderful host and greeted us with a bottle of fizz and fresh fruit. Our room was beautifully decorated with antique furniture and interesting memorabilia. The bathroom had olive oil toiletries, slippers, and robes. The breakfast was delightful with fresh fruit, freshly squeezed orange juice, yogurt, organic muesli, homemade bread, and coffee. Katerina just oozes everything a host should be and made us feel very welcome and at home. Having invested 15 years of her life into the restoration and running of the hotel, you can hear the passion in her voice when talking about Museum Hotel George. We could have spent days listening to her stories. We would have loved to have had the pleasure of dining with Katerina, but like many in the hospitality trade, Katerina lost her staff during COVID, has struggled to reemploy and so there is just not enough of her to go around. I would have honestly given up my summer term holiday to help in lieu of staying in the magic bubble of the Museum Hotel George Molfetas. It is truly magical, and thank you once again, Katerina, for the book. I will treasure it forever.

What an amazing experience staying with Katerina. She has devoted herself to restoring this exceptional building and also providing the best hospitality I've ever received. The service reflects the soulful dedication Katerina has given her life's work- its perfection! Katerina gave us her attention and her heart (Noah the dog too) we loved hearing about the journey she has taken with this hotel and tasting her homemade breakfast and liquor. You will never find better. As one of her few crazy tourists to come without a car she included us on her own trip out so we could see Argostoli and also dropped us at a local restaurant (Family grill, great food). The mini market two minutes away was super friendly and made homecooked meals which I'd definitely try if i were you. Lovely to hang out with the locals and take in the village life atmosphere. I enjoyed walking around the back streets of the village and finding the odd walnut or lemon tree to liberate of its fruit. I would liked to have seen more of the area. I fully recommend booking this accommodation and allowing yourself to meet Katerina and her work of art.

My stay at this property was a total joy in every possible way!!. The hotel is unique, fascinating, eclectic, historically intriguing. Very clean, with lovely white cotton bedding, a very comfortable bed. The en suite bathroom was gorgeous with great power shower and lovely olive oil products. The breakfast was delectable, fresh local yoghurt and honey, seasonal fruit, freshly squeezed orange juice, Homemade bread!. A joy. But even more wonderful still was Gustave Mahler playing in the stunning garden whilst l was surrounded by bougainvillea with a cold beer,..heaven. In the evening the fragrance of Jasmine was beautiful. But, what l loved most was Katerina, my host, a inspirational lady, whose warmth sets a standard for all to marvel at. She is adorable. Thank you so so much dear Katerina

United KingdomWhat a wonderful hotel! Katerina made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived, and since we were the only guests for much of our stay we had many interesting conversations with her concerning the history of the property, Kefalonia, off the beaten track places to visit, etc. etc. The main thing about the hotel is the character and personality that Katerina has imbued it with. A truly unique place!

North MacedoniaAlthough the breakfast served was tasty, and Katarina prepared different kind of pastries most of the days, it would be nice to have an option for a savory breakfast as well.
The location of the Museum hotel is perfect and really close to Argostoli, Kefalonia's capital. The place is unique and charming, each room speaks for itself. Katarina, the owner, did a great job in decorating the place. I personally loved the terrace the most, it is a peaceful place at night, and in the morning to have your coffee (the coffee prepared was really nice). Katarina was a great host, and even upgraded our room to a bigger one upon our arrival. Euharistume!
