It was a little noisy because of the street, but this is not something that can be changed easily. The pictures are a bit photoshopped and can be a bit deceiving when it comes to the room's standard. The breakfast could be improved as it was the same thing every day. No fruit, no vegetables.

We loved the view (mountains and the sea if you look hard enough!) as well as the fact that the place is located 5mins walk away from the Kournas Lake. The lady of the house was very kind and welcoming. She served breakfast on the room's balcony and it was lovely. The room was cleaned everyday and towels changed once or twice.

Loved it all, I will for sure stay again.

The hosts were unbelievably gracious and helpful, they gave great recommendations and went out of their way to walk with dietary restrictions. It is very close to the lake so I could park and walk which I loved. The room is spacious with two balconies to take in a gorgeous Mountain View.

Quiet place in order to relax and enjoy nature. The people attending were very helpful and very attentive. Strongly recommend having breakfast soon to delight morning sun. Also recommend drinking a cup of regional wine on the terrace while watching the sunset.

Nothing - exactly what I was expecting

The hotel is exactly like the photos :) with great views of the mountains. It is located really close to lake Kournas and while its a hot walk you can get into town too (having a car would make things easier). The staff went out of their way to make our stay a fun experience :)

There was no breakfast room though the bedroom was hardly suitable to have breakfast. Several times the hostess turned off the hot water before we had a shower. Fortunately, the host intervened after a few days. There was no lounge as stated on the site. Luckily we didn't experience any rainy days.

Friendly host who went out of his way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Nice location near the lake of Kournas. Kavalos restaurant in the nearby village has delicious meals. We visited the ancient theater of Aptera and the beautiful city of Chania which was much more worthwhile than Heraklion. The surrounding area offers plenty of interesting sights to see or go for a walk.

Location is definetley for peeple that want to relax in a nice environment and not hurry anywhere. On foot you will only get to local restauraunts, souvenir shops and a very picturesque lake. You'll need to dirve to find other things.

Great room with all amenities, great breakfast and a fantastic view from the balcony. A good family restaurant nearby.

Communication with the host was amazing. They woke up super early to make us our room service breakfast since we were leaving at 6AM. Rooms were comfortable and had great AC.

Great little pension really close to Kournas Lake (10min walk top) The room was clean, the bed was really comfy, the breakfast brought to the room the morning after our stay was really good and copious . Communication with Michael, the manager, was perfect and the lady that welcomed us was very friendly!!

For people with plans to travel around - would prefer using a car if in this location. We were not bothered, as we used the little tourist train successfully and did not want to be "in the center of it all".

Small and scenic family-owned accommodation near the Kourna Lake. Lovely people & services, a huge breakfast delivered to the room, a beautiful mountain view and a very clean room. And a stable wifi!

Location was great so easy to walk to the lake, rooms were very big with 2 balconies. Very convenient laundry right outside the room. Μιχάλης was a wonderful host carried all our luggage up to our room, even told us which taverna to eat dinner at and the best local beach to visit. We will be back for sure.
