I thought the breakfast buffet could have been improved but other than that, I wouldn’t change anything.

The beds were so comfortable, was a great location in the old town, staff were incredibility friendly.

Beautiful, boutique hotel in a great location right in the heart of the old town. Close to fabulous shops, restaurants, bars and the sea. Despite its location, there is no noise from the bars and restaurants. The family that runs the hotel are warm and welcoming and very attentive. Nothing is too much trouble. The decor is lovely and the apartments are spacious, very clean and extremely comfortable. The breakfast is amazing, with plenty of choice. I thoroughly recommend this lovely hotel and the old town of Rethymno. We were there in late May and it was just beginning to liven up. I imagine it gets very popular in the summer months. The weather was amazing, even though it was early in the season.

Nothing at all - we loved everything about our Mythos Suites stay.

We have just had a wonderful stay at Mythos Suites in a 2-bedroom apartment (apartment 6). Spacious and spectacular, and with its own private gate entry. A brilliant location right in the heart of the old town with wonders to look at in every direction. Every element is considered for your comfort. May I also make special mention of the lovely Eirini who kept up a correspondence with me long before our arrival as we investigated local activities related to the Battle of Crete commemorations. Meeting her in person was a true delight.

There is not one negative comment I could make about this hotel ..

From the moment we arrived we were welcomed by Nadia who was our host and overall planner for the duration of our trip .. she recommended restaurants,car hire and locations to visit .. the hotels location is central to all the restaurants,bars and shops and just a short walk to the beach. The hotel itself is quaint and homely and we absolutely loved every minute of our stay

Everything was just perfect

We came to the hotel, but we felt like we were at home. Great atmosphere, helping with organizing excursions or buying oil and cheese :), daily pleasant chats, daily baked cakes-delicious. Everything! The cutest little boutique hotel we could have hoped for! Right in the old town pedestrian zone, close to the hustle and bustle, but completely secluded and peaceful. The staff were amazing! So many great tips for little local tavernas with the best meze we could gave asked for!

The pool is closed during the hottest time of the day when you would normally return to your hotel to relax, cool off and go for a dip!! I can't imagine why. There was no drying rack on our balcony, which would've been nice. The air conditioning in our room was only upstairs and it was a two level room. My husband had to sleep downstairs and it never cooled off for him even if we ran it until we froze upstairs. The "bed" downstairs is just a couch cushion and it wasn't long enough, so only a kid who didn't mind being uncomfortable could sleep on it. This was the most expensive hotel of our whole trip and I am not sure why it costs so much, it didn't provide anything special to account for the price. The staff were nice, but not knowledgeable about the area sights or even how the parking they recommended worked or the hours the streets closed in the old town.

The location is great in the heart of the old town. The staff were kind and very sweet to our daughter. The room was very clean and well decorated. The shutters were so great, making it nice and dark at night and cool during the day if you closed them. The bathroom was nice and modern. The balcony and view of the pool was nice. The room was very quiet and I never heard other guests. The landscaping was very pretty. The breakfast was good and had a nice variety of local items as well as typical breakfast items tourists expect. They provided beach towels. The gentleman at the front desk was very sweet to our daughter and even gave her a little activity book. He had the best smile and kind nature. He was a pleasure to see every day.

The only area I would suggest improvements is to upgrade the bathrooms, but it wasn’t an issue at all.

Great place, right downtown Rethymno. Easy to explore the city and the beach is only 10 min walk. The managers were very attentive and made sure to make our stay comfortable. I would stay here again.
