Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

After we check out we stayed at the resort as our flight was only in the evening. We were told first that we will need to pay for orders, after insisting the waitress checked it with the reception and we didn't have to pay.
Very nice hotel, exceptional service. The food and cocktails were high quality. Thank you for the free room upgrade!

United KingdomA wardrobe with full-length hanging space would've been great (we were attending a wedding so had some "smart" clothes with us) but the provision of an iron and ironing board was most welcome.
Everything was so much better than we could have imagined. Th room and facilities were exceptional. The breakfast was great with impeccable service. A particular thanks to Irene who was our waitress at breakfast most days. She was amazing!

United KingdomI went all inclusive and the alcohol limit is a bit confusing and not very clear on where the limit actually is.
The quality of the food was outstanding, and there was a huge choice of food at the breakfast and dinner buffet. The staff are also extremely attentive, kind and friendly. They would go the extra mile to help out with things, offer advice on things to do or which of their many cocktails to try. It never felt crowded either, I did go near the start of the season but there were loads of sun beds free at the pools and the private beach. It's also not too far from Rethymno's picturesque old town if you fancy a bit of a walk (or a short taxi). To me, this felt like a true 5 star hotel. Exceptional!

United KingdomThe Hotel is brand new but a previously built neighbour Hotel block partially the sea view at the side. The should buy the Hotel and integrate it into this new Hotel.
The private beach is directly accessible, no roads, just a seamless transition from the pool area to a glorious sandy beach with clear water! We enjoyed the maisonette suite with a hot tub and sea view!

North MacedoniaZero complaints … compliments only.
A brand new hotel, very nicely located in a calm area, but close to the city. Contemporary designed hotel with luxury feel and attention to details. The entry hall and the stairs are a true masterpiece. The rooms are clean, comfortable, well organized and fully equipped. Staff was very professional and helpful, yet friendly. We were allowed to check in earlier and were provided complimentary free breakfast. Liana, was extremely helpful throughout our stay. She helped us to plan the visits around and gave us great suggestions. Furthermore, she invited us to the Easter party lunch organized by the hotel with traditional music and tasty food. Breakfast is buffet style, everything is freshly made and very well presented. Finally, food was very delicious. The garage is free , which is a bonus. I would definitely choose to stayhere again whenever I visit Crete.

United StatesThe breakfast was good but the scrambled eggs could have been better. They were very wet and could have been cooked longer, this happened both days we had breakfast. It would also have been nice to be able to order of a menu for dinner instead of having a dinner buffet as the only option.
Location was good and central to our needs. The staff were very friendly and helpful and looked after our needs. The hotel itself was very nice and was exceeded our expectations.

The hotel has its own very nice beach. We were very happy and think that it is the best hotel in Rethymno. Everything was perfect.

United KingdomWe did actually mention this to reception as we left as we believe if these things were addressed - it would be perfect. The room design seemed to focus mainly on looks rather than practicality. And whilst it did look awesome, and was very large - these small things would enhance it for the better 1. The wardrobes are on a slant so your clothes kinda sit at an angle and you cant close the doors properly 2. There is very limited storage. Where there is empty space (which is obviously a design feature) put some drawers in. We had to both use our suitcases for anything that you couldn't hang. And it just gets annoying 3. Put a seperate switch for the toilet in. When sharing a room you dont want to have to turn lights on for one half of the room, that inevitably wakes the other guest up. 4. Shower in the middle of the room. All good for us as a couple - but it would be pretty awkward if sharing with a friend. You can literally see everything and there is no private bathroom.
We adored our stay in the Nautiliux Hotel. On arrival we were given an upgrade to our room which was massively appreciated. The service from the moment you arrive is impeccable. The hotel rooms are lovely and the pools and beach area are stunning. We spent 10 days at the end of the season and switched from days out - to days on the beach and around the pool. We were spoilt for places to relax and enjoy the weather. The attention to detail is impressive whilst you enjoy the outside amenities. Little safe boxes to lock up for when you head to the sea. A private beach. 2 pools. Towels. A call button for service. A plethora of seats to chose from. Cabanas, bean bags, loungers. All the staff were so attentive. remembering your choice of drink at breakfast. Posting post cards for you. And the indoor pool is also lush. I also enjoyed an all over body massage in the spa, which was also gorgeous.

This has been our 7th time in Crete but the first time in Rethymno and in this Hotel. Nautilux has been a really pleasant surprise: the team is always helpfull and nice, the sea is magic and the private beach really well manteined, the 2 pools are amazing and if you choose a room on the main floor you will have direct access to a private warm water minipool. The Spa and its hot pool is well managed. Breakfast and dinner were delicious even at the end of the season. You can reach the nice Rethymno Ancien center walking 20 minutes on the "lungomare". We will come back. Thanks to the team for the nice stay .

United StatesThere was nothing about our stay that we were unhappy with. Everything was top-notch. The nespresso machine in the room even had Starbucks brand pods. This may not seem like a big deal, but when it comes to cutting costs in hospitality, the amenities are usually the first to take a hit. Sticking with high-quality soaps, coffees, and linens kept the experience above expectations. We are 100% satisfied customers.
For our honeymoon, we went for the maisonette and will not be downgrading next time we stay. It was absolutely phenomenal. Valet parking was included, great coffee maker in the room, a hot tub on our balcony, exceptional beach chairs, and a breakfast buffet to feed royalty. We loved every minute of our stay and even bought bottles of the bodywash/shampoo because it was so nice.
