The ominous shower is challenging and I found the WC installed too close to the sink stand. If the illy coffee maker could be available all day long it would be another strong feature of this hotel.

Lots of tavernas, bars, and cafes with outdoor seating, all within walking distance from this lovely boutique hotel, add to this neighborhood's trendy vibe. The friendly hotel staff team was very accommodating and gave me many valuable recommendations.

Staff were excellent, very helpful and went out of their way to make sure that everything worked for us. Our room was spotlessly clean. It is a little bit out of the main tourist areas, but we liked the lively atmosphere of the bars around the hotel and we easily walked to most places. Transport options were ten minutes walk away.

We had a room located at the entrance. Very noisy evry time someone went in/out.

It was a charming hotel. A little off the beaten path but I felt very safe and the people that work there went out of their way to accommodate my needs. Everyone was very pleasant and breakfast was great the woman who took care of the breakfast bar was wonderful! It was also very clean.

We would love to come back to Exarchia on a typical weekend when more shops and restaurants are open. It was quite deserted on Easter weekend, but that is to be expected. The hotel was always staffed and very friendly and helpful, though!

Neapolis 1897 was a great place to stay in Exarchia — very cool neighborhood off the beaten tourist! Do your research beforehand if this is your first time in Athens, though. A bit of a walk to the main tourist areas and a very different feel. The hotel is cute and the room was clean and comfortable with helpful staff. The modern bathroom and shower was also much appreciated after two weeks in Greece. And breakfast on the rooftop was a nice way to start the day with something in our stomachs.

Unfortunately and this is nothing the hotel can do anything about i found the neighbourhood a bit edgy.. It i is really authentic with independent shops especially book shops but its also a but run down and graffiti everywhere which I dont have a problem with .Lots of wall art is amazing .. However some of the slogans were anti tourist which is fair enough and a lot of resentment against airbnb but when i set out to find a bar in the evening it had "Tourists go home "emblazoned on side and I didn't feel comfortable going in .As above Ariana helped me find another bar in walking distance ...Both girls were wonderful

The hotel is in a beautiful old building which has been sensitively renovated. the rainfall shower is lovely though took me a while to navigate !! However the hotels biggest assets are it's receptionists Catherine and Ariana who were so warm and helpful .They really are stars .

The room could have done with a couple of extra hooks to hang clothes/towels and the bathroom could do with my surfaces to place toiletries on.

It was a nice and quiet at night. Breakfast was ok, the typical continental style. It was close walking distance to public transportation. Restaurants were near by. Architecture of the room was really nice, high ceiling, crown molding, chandelier light, air conditioner worked and room was able to be cooled. Mini bar and room service available in case you need a snack if you arrive late and most Restaurants are closed. Location is near Restaurants and walking distance to the shopping street. Staff was helpful with bags upon arrival and departure and in general. And it was near the police station. Hotel is located in neighborhood and must very careful if you decide to be out past 1am depending. All in all, a great place to stay.

The staff was friendly and attentive, the bed incredibly comfortable, and the location is just perfect for exploring. Having breakfast on the outside terrace was superb! The balcony was a delightful bonus :) Highly recommended!
