Amazing view, very nice host, perfect value for money!

At our arrival we have been warmly welcomed by Mr Manousos, who offered us wild figues and raki. He gave us an upgrade of the room, so we could enjoy a beautiful and large triple room instead of the double one. Very clean, very comfortable mattress, nice terrace with sea view...wonderful to relax watching the sunset from there and wonderful to fall asleep with the sounds of the waves. The position of the pension is very close to the beach, around 50 meters, and very close to the main street of the village where we could enjoy nice dinners in good restaurants suggested by Manousos. We have been treated like family and that's the way we felt during our 3-night stay, in a family. We found Manousos a very special person, a kind hearted man, rich in positive energies. We would like to thank him for being so caring and attentive to details, from the very first day until our departure.

The location and the rooms were very good. But the best thing about our stay was the amazing hospitality of our wonderful host. He made us feel incredibly welcome. If we would not have already paid for our next hotel we would have stayed longer.

As we traveled around Crete, we realized that many hotels in this price range have some downs, but our main concern was cleanliness and some local advices, which were perfect.

The sea view and the sound of the waves was great from our room. We spent two nights and both days was very windy, but taken advices from the host we spent a splendid day at a nearby beach.

We really enjoyed our stay at this simple and beautiful location. Manousos was really an exceptional host: thank you for all your attentions and good advice about the area. The flat had everything we needed, with a beautiful sea view with the beach in front of us. We could enjoy our breakfast in the morning at the terrace and it is an excellent location to explore and enjoy the area. We wish we could go back one day. :)

Excelent price-quality ratio! The room was nice and clean, the sea view was amazing and Manousus was the best host we ever had! He received us with a warm welcome and great hospitality, he recommended us an excelent Taverna and when we left, he gave us a bag full of delicious fruits! The balcony looked out over the sea. We could keep the doors open at night and hear the waves lapping the shore, what more do you want at the seaside!? The gentleman owner was very hospitable and we enjoyed his conversation and coffee. There was hot water in the shower.

Kalamaki is quite a touristic place with many opportunities to dine and shop, at the same time there is that very long beach to walk far and find more places to take a swim. We were pleasantly surprised by the location, the house is like in the second row and quiet at night but not at all far from the beach (~200m from door) and all balconies have excellent sea view. Rooms and linens are clean and regularily serviced. Kitchen and fridge were shared by three rooms on that floor, which worked very well. The host Manousos is very friendly and attentive, and btw many thanks for the Tsipouro and all advice and background info about places to go to! Good price and can recommend...

If you come to Kalamaki make sure you book your room at Nefeli. You will have the pleasure to be the guest of Manoussos. The owner is really friendly and welcoming, he's always there to help if you need anything and he has some very good advice on restaurants and also places to visit around Kalamaki. Ola Kala !!
