How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

I prefer to have one big mattress for a double bed, not two smaller ones. There is no shower door, so the water goes out of the showering area, making a bit of mess when showering.
Amazing hosts. Clean room. Coffee machine + free bottle of water + a small fridge in the room. Ironing facilities on request. Almost quite room (you could hear others in the hallway).

An external sign on the street as the hotel is inset a little bit and easy to miss.
Lovely help yourself buffet style breakfast. Location was ideal easy to find from metro and near all the main sights and restaurants. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great value a little gem.

Everything was great! Hotel is very well located so we did all our visits on foot, no métro needed. Room is spacious and confortable, breakfast is good and the staff is very nice! I can only recommand.

Everything! Especially the staff which is warm, professional and kind. The hotel's location is perfect, all the hot stuff are near by. The hotel is very clean. Super recommend.

We loved everything…cleanliness, outstanding staff, and location!
The Nema Hotel Athens staff members were outstanding. They helped us find excellent restaurants in the area, an Avis car rental closer to our hotel (saved us time and $$) and even flagged a taxi for us as we departed. The rooms were very clean and spacious with modern showers and bathrooms. The location was convenient to a wide variety of restaurants, sightseeing venues (15 minute walk to Acropolis and Museum, Plaka, and an easy Hop on Hop Off ride to National Gardens and National Archaeological Museum). At the end of a fun day, we were greeted by staff and could relax at the bar with Aperol Spritzers. We will definitely stay at Nema Hotel Athens the next time we visit!

The breakfast can have a little more variety with more hot items.
Location is excellent and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We booked the airport transfer through them and it was right on time and convenient.

I really enjoyed my stay at Nema Hotel Athens. The rooms are very modern and spacious and are equiped with all the essentials you could need. The hotel is kept very clean and just looks overall very nice. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and really helped make my stay all the more enjoyable. I personally like the neighbourhood that the hotel is situated , it is a lively neighbourhood even in the later hours of the day, meaning it feels safe to walk back at night and all the major sites of Athens are at a short walk from the hotel. Furthermore, despite it's central location, noise from the outside is not too much. The breakfast is tasty and offers a nice range of options. Overall very happy with my choice to stay here, this hotel would definitely be on top of my list to stay again in the future.

The only thing keeping this from being a great stay was that there was a problem with the heat while we were there during a very cold snap. Rooms were quite chilly in the evening and morning.
Great location within easy walk to restaurants, Monastiraki Square, Hadrian's Library as well as other attractions and the metro. Staff were very helpful and breakfast was very good.

We enjoyed very much our stay at the Nema, from the check in the experience was like you have been treated as family. The hotel is bran new, loved the design. The bed was very comfortable, the location was absolutely perfect, very clean. I would definitely come again.

A view would be nice but most hotels in the area are similar.
The managers were so helpful. I was getting in after reception was closed but they helped get a driver from the airport who called and waited until I was buzzed into the hotel. Friendly and caring.
