Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaOccasional noise from motorcycles or delivery trucks.
We love the cleanliness, location and being in a “home,” (kitchenette, living room, adequate wardrobe space, balconies, dining room, bathroom for the parents, bathroom for the teens. We very much appreciated the flexibility in check-in/check out due to our flight and cruise schedules. We love how responsive they are to are email queries. The instructions were clear for getting into apartment. We loved being steps away from a bakery/café and a block away from a grocery store. We walked maybe three or four blocks to a top rated restaurant in Piraeus. We walked to cruise terminal to see which of the three terminals we had to arrive at first the next morning. We were two blocks away from a beautiful church which we visited to admire the art. We felt safe. If you have babies or young children, know that the windows are not soundproof… you will hear the occasional delivery truck, garbage truck, motorcycle or singing pedestrian but otherwise, it is mostly quiet. Remember to turn on water heater 30min before showering. Really liked that it had a washer and drying rack. Really liked the stocked kitchen and size of dining room table. Couches to watch television or chat were comfortable. Sitting on the balcony drinking tea was relaxing.

United KingdomNothing!
The house is very well kept outside and inside, especially compared to other buildings in the area although it doesn't look like a Neoclassical house on the outside. You need to go up a few steps, but then there is a lift to get to the apartments. It has nice tall ceilings and large windows which makes the place feel airy and very spacious (the typical characteristic of a Neoclassical house).Everything was clean and we had more than enough extra amenities for our stay such as a clothes rack, washing machine, a coffee machine, a toaster, lots of kitchen utensils etc. It was in a perfect location for us to visit family, go to the shops as well as go to the port to catch a ferry early in the morning (walking distance to Gate 9).There is a good supermarket and bakery very close to the property as well as lots of other shops on the main road (Heroon Polytechniou) which takes you to Piraeus town centre and Metro Station. Our apartment also had two small balconies, one with a table and chairs, perfect for your morning coffee. There is air-conditioning in every room except the 2 bathrooms and a TV in one of the bedrooms and one in the living room. We have 7 children and it was very comfortable even for our family with plenty of room for a large cot. (The kids shared the beds of course). If you have 3 or even 4 children that are willing to share double beds you will be very comfortable here. Overall we are very happy with our stay and we would stay here again without any hesitation! Thanks for letting us stay at this beautiful place!

GreeceWe didn't see a broom or dust pan (upon leaving the cleaning lady told us it was hidden on one of the balconies). One face and one bath towel each for 5 nights, unless we paid more. We had an issue with a few of the AC units not being cold enough. The parking is rather hard to find.
The location was right near the harbor, you could see the cruise ships from the balcony. There were plenty of stores within a short walking distance. We were there as a family for our sons wedding. We loved the place!! The hidden gem is the top floor terrace, which we didn't notice till a couple days before leaving. The home exceeded our expectations!! We would stay there again in a heart beat!! Three bedrooms and 2 baths!!

United Kingdomnot so clear instructions about the hot-water usage. it would have helped if there was information how to set off heating the hot water tank (press the required button…) and how to stop it (turn the timer switch to shorter time…). the availability of a Philips screwdriver to adjust the timer switch would have been very useful

SingaporeNothing. I could live in this place permanently.
My family loved this beautiful big apartment situated in a classic old building. The place is very well renovated in a period style, but with very comfortable beds and all the modern conveniences required. The carafe of limoncello provided on arrival was a welcome touch, as were the cookies, candies, nuts and coffee. The kitchen area was equipped with every kind of appliance needed to cook a meal, but with so many great eating options nearby, we never did. Having a morning coffee on the balcony and watching the everyday life happening on the street was enjoyable. The area is quiet at night so noise is never a problem.

United StatesCommunication with property ownership, check-in time, and hot water. I booked this stay several months in advance. I received an email from the property asking about my arrival time and providing a quote for transportation from Athens Airport to property. I replied to the email providing requested info and asked for a check-in time of 1pm instead of 3pm, but never heard anything from the property. I spoke with customer service on Booking.com and they also tried to reach property to no avail. The company was very difficult to reach and speak with anyone. Fortunately, the lady cleaning the property was there when we arrived and after a short wait we were able to enter. We had an issue with hot water for showers. After 14hrs of traveling, we were ready for showers. After two of us took a shower there was no more hot water. We had to take very quick cold showers. We learned how to allow for the hot water to reset.
The apartment was as pictured. It was very clean and spacious. We were traveling as a family of 5 (incl 3 adult children) and it was enough space for everyone. The bathrooms were very nice with great shower heads. It’s located near plenty of cafes and restaurants within walking distance. It is a perfect location if you’re going on a cruise as it’s about a 5-10min taxi ride to the Piraeus Port.

Restaurants and shopping was within walking distance. Public transportation was close by and easy to use. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Athens, Greece for an extended stay or a short stay. Thank you for providing this place through your website on Booking.com.
