Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaJust remember that you are away from the beach and the sights. If you stay here in hot summer, like we did, you will not walk anywhere from the hotel as such. I felt a little like the staff were leaving you alone at all costs, we were not honeymooners…. Like the cleaners were out too fast when we were in the room, the “bell boy” didn’t step into the room to pick up our bag the last morning- I had to bring them out to give to him. The reception was understaffed in the morning. Our departure wasn’t that smooth. Also there was a party with a super loud band playing repetitive music to 11.30 pm in the restaurant by the pool. I think it was a Greek holiday? The surrounding rooms got no rest whatsoever. After a day in the sun, everyone is exhausted and we just wanted to sleep.
It’s a truly stunning hotel, everywhere you look is a photograph waiting to be taken. The rooms are wonderful. The meals were a dream, breakfast and dinner beautiful. The restaurant staff very attentive.

BrazilThey need to improve the restaurant’s inside, very expensive and not good at all. The Peruvian/Japanese are more expensive than the best restaurants in the Island. I had a small sea bass for €56, with maionese sauce, really bad honestly.
The breakfast is amazing, also the staff. The bar at the swim poll serves a good and fresh food. The concierge is very nice, a plenty of good recommendations. The massage is one of the best I’ve already had.

United KingdomSetting was absolutely beautiful. The architect had thought of everything. Our private pool was not overlooked by anything so had complete privacy. Details like adding plants to the room roofs meant that our view was just uninterrupted greenery! The smell of lavender and rosemary were everywhere and the whole hotel was incredibly peaceful. Yoga overlooking a view of the island was great.

SwitzerlandNothing. Maybe just one detail that could be annoying (sometimes) is that the hotel is a little bit far from the center and the beach if you’re walking. You have to rent a car or always take a taxi if you want to move a little bit outside the hotel, but not a big deal.
The place is really beautiful and relaxing. Food is very good quality and various. The Pacifico Restaurant by Nikkei is absolutely delicious ! The staff is very kind and polite. Definitely my favorite stay in Zakynthos !

United KingdomThe breakfast menu could be expanded, offering more choice, maybe have some variation from day to day like the dinner menu.
An incredible stay in what is most likely the best resort I've visited amongst the greek islands! From arrival, the impeccable architectural impressions and wonderfully polite and professional grounds and reception staff set the tone for a wonderful trip. Every corner of the hotel is beautiful, inviting and picture worthy from sunrise till sunset. The rooms were simple, clean and spacious. The Executives Suites are particularly great with such lovely views (especially upper levels) with refreshingly generous private pools. The food was great, and its nice to have 4 different restaurant offerings on ground. Flow Wine & Dine is a must with magnificent views and equally excellent food. The staff were informative on all aspects of the island and were swift to organise trips and experiences outside the hotel. Visiting the numerous secluded beaches, shipwreck, the caves and the turtles is a must to fully appreciate the island and capture the real beauty of Zakynthos!

Belgiumthe only tiny remark that I have is the lack of shady areas around the swimming pool. Architecture is not allowing parasols, but when it is 30°, we preffered to have some shade instead of hiding in our room.
where to start .... this hotel really has everything. The architecture is phenomenal. The service is exceeding all expectations and every single question is handled with a smile. As my wife is an MS patient, the staff really was concerned about her well being and adivised us an great fysiotherapist in Zakynthos city. The food in every restaurant is high quality and excellents (proof is that I gained 3 kilo's in 1 week). My preference is Pacifico by Nikkei, great food in a bohemian setting with nice trendy lounge music. We will definitely go back !

NetherlandsSeriously nothing
The hotel is located higher in the hills of Tsivili. It seems that the hill is mainly occupied by hotels and resorts so it’s quite in the evening. The service goes beyond expectations. We got a free upgrade and the staff was very flexible with checkout-time because of the bad weather. The resort itself is stunningly beautiful. Olea left a very good impression during my stay in Zakynthos. Very memorable.

United Kingdom- wasps <- there are tons of them, we usually love sitting outside when we eat our breakfast but unfortunately that was impossible here. I appreciate that’s not the hotel’s fault but it has definitely affected our experience - the room we got initially wasn’t what we expected, we were directly looking at other people sitting by the pool and it was very loud, but we were able to move after one day so that wasn’t too much of an issue. But if we were not offered a replacement we would consider changing the hotel/room type as the room was really bad with no privacy at all. - there was also some issue with picking up the ironing board from our room - the fridge has a quite warm temperature inside - there’s no coffee machine in the room :(
- fantastic rooms, very tastefully designed - amazing food and drinks - those are spectacular, we ate at many places on the island but sometimes we wished we have eaten at the hotel - the staff is so kind and nice, literally everyone. Sometimes people stop when they are driving to offer you a lift - feels like a family. They have also arranged our taxi to/from other places and they offered a possibility to charge the fee to the room which was very nice as taxis are usually cash only. The test before flying to the uk has also been arranged for us at the hotel, which was very convenient. - feels very small, there are no crowds at breakfast (we did usually eat early but even when we ate at 9:30 it was still quite nice) - transfer to/from the beach - wish they have mentioned that before because we almost didn’t choose the hotel because of that. Olea is located on a hill and there’s approximately 15min on foot to the beach, but coming back you need to walk uphill which might be challenging so the transfer is nice.

United KingdomThe food all looks incredible but the reality is it tasted bland & lacked any kind of flavour. After having dinner once a the main restaurant, we decided we wouldn't bother returning. There is also a huge wasp problem present at the main restaurant where breakfast & dinner is served. No one could sit outside without being swarmed by wasps. They offered smoking incense but this doesn't deter them. Sometimes before we even got back to our seats from the buffet, their were wasps on our plate. Some members of staff acknowledged there is a nest somewhere that they are trying to locate while others shrugged off the situation making it feel like it wasn't something we shouldn't be bothered by. We also had mentioned on booking that it was our honeymoon but this wasn't really acknowledged in any way on arrival, not a problem - just a bit of shame.
The hotel is so calming & relaxing / it never felt overcrowded or too busy. It looks beautiful & the pool is lovely too. We really liked the "beach" / pool bar. This was a great spot to chill out in the day or relax in with a cocktail after dinner (I asked the barman for an off menu spicy margarita & he made an excellent one). Our room was gorgeous too. We were in one of the superior pool rooms where you could jump straight into the pool from your room which is fab. Our sun bed platform was shared with the room next door though which is not ideal when the rooms are priced the same as the sun bed platforms that aren't shared. Also, it was our honeymoon & the extra privacy would have been appreciated. The spa treatments we had were brilliant & the staff at the spa were lovely & really welcoming / kind.

NetherlandsThe only thing I can say is that the fine dinning restaurant for me was a bit overpriced and overvalued, too. Food was fine, but I would save myself for other fine dinning places in Greece next time. The other little problem is waiters for breakfast and dinner buffets. They were very friendly and kind, but service was a bit messy sometimes, unfortunately. Still totally worth the stay!!!!
The room was phenomenal. The whole hotel area was beautifully designed. It's the perfect place to get peace and rest. The pools are beautiful. The breakfast is pretty nice and the buffet dinner, too. Nice room service and staff is super professional and friendly. The spa is pretty good too. I really was sad to leave. It was the perfect vacation, just what I needed.

United Arab EmiratesExcept for the lady manager that was extremely kind and welcoming, helpful and genuine, the rest of the stuff were not very friendly, and every time we asked little help with different things, their attitude was not a kind one and we felt like we are bothering them. When checked out, since parking is a but far from reception, we asked for a drive with the golf cart, to drop out bags to the car and back to reception for check out. The boy was obviously bothered by our request. I believe for the price of the accomodation, these little things should be offered easily
The location is amazing, with and impressive view, the outdoors and the pools are beautiful, and the breakfast and dinner buffet had a great variaty of options. The rooms minimalistic decoration is fabulous, and we were offered an upgrade on the room! Food tasted great! We asked for late check out and they kindly allowed it.
