We had a wonderful stay but it would have been nice not to have construction sounds on our last morning.

We did not recceive breakfast because it was end of season. We would have appreciated some yogurts or croissant to have in the morning.

Everything was incredible, the host was beyond accommodating. The view was stunning and the room was equally as brilliant. All the staff were very helpful and organized everything we needed on the island. Relaxed luxury!

Great view !!! If you are looking for a relaxing holiday with a fantastic view of the harbour and the sea, this is the place for you. The inside furnishing of the flat is very good. The small private pool for each apartment makes the stay even special :-) The outdoor seating and deck chairs especially the cushions are getting on in years and could be replaced. Otherwise it is a wonderful home that has been lovingly decorated and is very clean and well maintained. The staff and the owner are extremely helpful. The terrace is shaded from late midday. There is a small roof terrace where you can enjoy the evening sun a little longer. Unfortunately, the sunset is on the other side of the island and the sundowner is denied. You have to book breakfast separately. As the kitchen does not have any cooking equipment, you cannot cook for yourself. You have to know that. You don't need a car on this island! Everything is easily accessible on foot or by bus. Folegandros remains a hidden gem for those who want to escape mass tourism in Greece. Thank you for everything!

Absolutely nothing !

Staying at Onar Suites is more of an experience than just your usual hotel stay. The property is located very close to the port with arguably the best view on the island. There are many restaurants and markets located just a short 5 minute walk from the property. The attention to detail in the rooms and the patio is unmatched. Unique furniture and pieces from all over the world surround you and truly make the vibe magical. There is also Chochlida beach literally steps away from the suite. In my opinion it was the best beach on Folegandros. Super secluded and beautiful. I really hope to stay at Onar again and relive all the beautiful memories we made.

The only small hiccup was a mixup with another couple's room at the checkin due to a little lack of communication from booking dept to check in. This said Petros solved the situation in no time and we also managed to make new friends from this thanks to his ability to get people together with ease and relax.

Onar is located right next to Folegandros port but managing to keep you away from crowds, it sits on top of a cliff with incredible panorama. You'll be greeted by the owner Petros and his lovely staff, he'll go the extra mile to make sure your experience will be the best possible one. Rooms are very clean and well decorated, definitely will book again if back in Folegandros.

Perfect oasis in the port city of Karavostai. Extremely convenient to Chora and everywhere you want to go in Folegandros. The most unique and beautifully decorated place I’ve ever been and peak hospitality with the owner available on what’s app for any requests. The sun rise was spectacular, the private pool area overlooking the ocean was a place of dreams. Wish we never left and can’t wait to go back. Great lunch recommendation by Petras who called his friend and made a reservation for us. Overall fantastic time and our favorite island of our trip.

It was an upsetting surprise after the first night that breakfast was not served and no longer an option despite the brochure in the room provided the information about availability of breakfast. The host did also not mention anything at check-in about this change of policy and I had to look for the host to enquiry after a long wait the next morning to find out. Some other guests had that option though and so this made it feel quite a last minute change of policy. This information on breakfast should have been clear (provided by the host) upon check-in, especially since the informative brochure in the room indicated the breakfast availability and time. At the venue there is no possibility to book any food or drinks even at a cost. Given the infrastructure and price of the facility this type of information should be clearly provided ! Also there is no option to book/pay laundry service and in the room little toiletries were available ( I had to ask the cleaning staff for products such as conditioner and body lotion which were however promptly provided )

The host Petros is very kind ! The location is amazing as the external terraces of the villa Volta with lots of private space, great decor and a direct amazing view of the sea. Unfortunately breakfast was not served despite the information brochure in the villa’s room said otherwise. This was a big blow to the stay as there are only two breakfast places which however are not close by / not around the corner ( both quite pricy and one of them with quite bad food quality and service ..)

We had a pretty big issue with the cleaners. They loitered around a bit and made it feel a bit uncomfortable. The day of check out; they came to us several times telling us when we should leave and to emphasize when we should get out. It really Made the morning of checkout extremely uncomfortable. Additionally, on Booking.com it clearly stated that check out was at noon, but the staff repeatedly told us to leave at 11. We complied, but I don’t think it should have been our issue that the property miscommunicated with Booking.com. This was also unfortunate. We were told to leave our bags in the room so we could pick them up from a shop later, so we didn’t need to have them with us all morning before we took the ferry. However, when one of us went back to the room later to deliver a charging cord, she was told that us leaving our luggage there was an issue and she was also badgered about how “dirty” the room was. I have traveled extensively and I also host two Air BnB’s so I am extremely familiar with what is reasonable for cleanliness. I also know it is NEVER ok to badger people about the state of the room unless it is extremely terrible or damaged. It was very uncomfortable, unnecessary and unprofessional for the staff to feel the right to badger a guest about the state of the room. The room was completely normal for a check out.

Owner, Petros was very nice and accommodating. The room, view and facilities was unreal. So so good and stunningly beautiful.

We Initially booked for 4 nights as part of our Honeymoon, however we stayed for 5 nights due to ferries being cancelled. Petros (owner) met us at the port, it was a very short transfer to the accommodation. He was so welcoming and friendly, whilst showing us around Villa Volta, you could see the passion and attention to detail that he has for Onar. The accommodation was amazing, clean, stylist with stunning views from the private roof terrace. The 5 nights that we stayed we were constantly impressed by the service and accessories provided, nothing was too much trouble. We chose to have Breakfast served on our terrace each morning, although you could choose from other spots on the cliff edge or in your room. We have travelled for 30+ years and we have never experienced such a generous breakfast served to your room including: fresh orange juice, cereals, pastries, breads, muffin to name a few as this changed on a daily basis. Not to mention the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon and another day the most delightful omelette, all freshly prepared and made with genuine passion to please. Due to the Meltemi winds the ferries were not operating, Petros went above and beyond by organising and making alternative arrangements for us to ensure that our onward travels ran smoothly. Also a special thank-you to Andreas and his wife, who gave an incredible service keeping our villa clean and tidy. Overall the BEST experience, we plan to return and would certainly recommend a stay.

literally nothing. as you can tell from all the other reviews this place is pretty perfect.

To be honest, anything I would write would be an understatement as to how amazing this place is. The room is of course amazing but what made the stay so memorable was Petros and his staff. We had so many nice conversations with them and they always gave us the best tips. When you stay at Onar, they really take care of you and make sure you have everything you need. Also - the breakfast by Ms. Artemis really is so good. There is so much more I could say but in sum, coming to Onar is experiencing this authentic Greek island all while feeling completely relaxed and transported. This will forever be my boyfriend and I's favorite part of Greece and we will be coming back.

The only issue was the eco-pool was too cold to get in this time of year (September). But beaches very close when needed to cool down ☺️ The blue light at night from the pool is very bright, the blind helps but only slightly.

The location is beautiful with uninterrupted views over the port and sea. Staff very friendly! Breakfast was delicious and changed everyday. Bus to Chora was regular and accessible near the hotel. A stunning spot with beaches and hikes in very close proximity.
