Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomOrabel was amazing. The breakfast was different every morning and was incredible. The staff were so helpful and Janis and Sophia were super knowledgeable about the island and had an amazing list of recommendations for the local beach (5 mins walk with hundreds of places to choose from in a 3km stretch) and for all of the towns and villages on the island. This was one of the best experiences we have ever had at a hotel. Thank you!

United KingdomFrom start to finish we were treated like royalty by all members of staff, nothing was too much trouble for anyone. The breakfast is out of this world. The hotel itself is so peaceful and relaxing, the cocktails are freshly prepared by a very skilled barman and taste great. The receptionist, Sofia, is very personable and will go out of her way to help you with any requirement. We have stayed in some very nice hotels across the world, but this really is up there at the top of our list. A must visit for anyone.

United KingdomAbsolutely nothing!
On entering the hotel it felt as if we were going into an oasis of calm, tranquility and luxury. Everything was so pristine and perfect it really felt unreal. We were greeted by Jiannis the owner who made us feel like friends rather than guests and we were made to feel that we were on holiday straightaway. We were given a welcome drink at the bar and taken to the room when we were ready. There was an Easter gift basket in there and the room was spotless and spacious. There was so many little extras everywhere and we found the drinks and snacks very reasonable to purchase within the hotel. Sofia was amazing and nothing was too much trouble. She booked trips, arranged taxis, organised food and always had a smile for you. The breakfast was incredible which both my husband and I agreed we have never experienced anything like it anywhere we had stayed before. Three fabulous courses accompanied by Orange juice, Water, tea or coffee, freshly baked bread and pastries. Dietary requirements are catered for and Thalia the chef personally brings the main course to you and you can have it served in your room, by the pool or bar. I could write a book on how fabulous this place is to stay and all I can do to sum it up is that my husband and I will be coming back next year and the year after and the year after that. It is one of the most special places we have been to and cannot believe that we have found it!!

United KingdomLoved it all !!!!
I don't often write reviews, however felt compelled to share the wonderful holiday we had at the Outstanding, luxurious Orabel Suites. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel extremely special, we were met by the Manager and owner Ioannis. Despite a late check Ioannis was very welcoming, as we went through the paperwork we were kindly offered a welcome drink which was a lovely touch. Our room was spacious and clean, with the most amazing outdoor jacuzzi. It was apparent that a lot of thought had gone into the layout and design of the complex, a truly breathtaking unforgettable place. Every day the lovely housekeepers always had a smile, the rooms were cleaned meticulously well. We had a lovely private terrace area where most days we would relax and enjoy the most amazing breakfast. Each morning we were able to choose our cooked main course this was served amongst fresh local produce of Fruit, meats, yoghurt, jams honey and pastries, a variety of coffee and orange juice. Amazing Chef Lina always with a smile would often pop along with a beautiful dessert that she had made. All of the amazing staff ensured that we never felt hurried or rushed, nothing was ever too much trouble . Sofia was amazing, beautiful lady who was extremely knowledgeable about the local area, on our first day she spent time sharing local recommendations, providing information about Activities, places and restaurants to visit. The location of the Hotel was perfect a 10 minute walk to the beach, restaurants and bars. We even walked into Perissa one evening along the seafront. We hired a car which for us allowed us to explore Beautiful Santorini a definite must to experience the island.

United KingdomMy wife and I stayed for 14 nights and found the resort magnificently clean in all respects, the most conscientious cleaners we've ever come across. The resort is calm, well spaced sunbeds round a lovely ( if a little cool ) pool. Yannis has assembled a wonderful, helpful, and friendly team of staff; it's small resort but the staff made our experience very intimate and we parted feeling like friends with them. Breakfasts are amazing with great flexibility on when we could take breakfast; Orabel has a great location, 7/8 minute walk to beach, with a small minimarket on the way. Sofia deserves a special mention; she's amazingly friendly and a powerhouse of energy, and knows so much about all aspects of the island. Over our 14 days stay we took her recommendations every time for restaurants ( and she secured fantastic tables for us each time ), organised trips ( we did the sunset catamaran, the sunset wine tour tour, and the private island tour ) and having hired a buggy for few days her recommendations for places to see/visit were 100% right for us. Orabel is a real find - you might think other reviews are too good to be true but trust me, they're true. We definitely aim to return.

EVERYTHING!!! I couldn't have anticipated how amazing the accommodation, facilities and services were at Orabel Suites. EVERYTHING exceeded my expectations. I was warmly welcomed and informed with charm. Every potential need was anticipated. The place is stunningly decorated and designed with style and class. The breakfast blew me away, delivered to my door to my specification. Sofia and Ioannis exceeded ad excelled at giving me advice on activities and helping, nothing was too much to ask. Restaurant or bar reservations, tours or car service, even receiving beach beds at a luxury beach club, they could organise it all. I lost a night to stay at their incredible hotel due to a ferry strike and, due to the limitations of the Booking website, they could not reimburse me so they gave me some complimentary drink and a car service instead. Chris, their barman and mixologist can make and concoction you request.I am a regular visitor to the Cyclades and, without question, Orabel Suites will be my choice of accommodation next time I return to Santorini. Do not pass up an opportunity to stay at this luxuriously indulgent ensue. It will be well with it.

United KingdomNothing - we wished we had booked an extra week!
This is a hidden gem. You are based in the south of the island which is a lot less busy and touristy. Just a 6min walk to the black beach equipped with a strip of restaurants. The hotel staff are what sets this property apart from others, so knowledgeable about what to do, where to see ext. they took their time to get to know our interests so that they could best plan our time. We were greeted with welcome drinks upon arrival by Yanni and shown to our suite. In the morning our amazing 3 course breakfast freshly made every day was prepared for us and we met the lovely Sophia who gave us a map of the island, a book containing every village/town in the islands restaurants and with more information regarding recommendations, food types cost and when to go which was super helpful! Sophia booked us onto plate smashing at Theo Fanis, an exceptional wine tour, a day on the catamaran cruises, kamari open air cinema, shopping trips and even organised car hire for us to explore the island. For my birthday she blew up 30 balloons, got me a cake and threw me a surprise I will never forget. We both absolutely adored our time in the island and at Opera Suites and we cannot wait to return. Our room was very spacious, my partner tends to bring a lot of clothes on holiday and we found that there was plenty of shelves, hangers and space to easily unpack and relax. Having your own hot tub and of course bing able to use the large outdoor pool in the sunshine, whilst drinking cocktails by the pool from Christopher is a life I could get used to! We got massages on the last day that I would absolutely recommend too Thank you for our favourite stay ever

BelgiumThe beach is a 15 minutes dangerous walk along a very busy road and no pavement. The hotel has a small snackbar by the pool but we had a negative experience by waiting more than an hour for a salad. Although we were the only guests. Be prepared to be kidnapped at your arrival for one hour for a sales pitch about the island cruises and wine tours. Throughout our 3-weeks stay in the Cyclades, we have found out that all hotels, including Orabel Suites, have very hard beds and high pillows.
The hotel is serving a delicious 3-course breakfast in your own balcony. If you are a vegetarian, they will customize for your desires. Very nicely decorated rooms and very spacious. Every room has its own private jacuzzi. We were living at the end of the building on the second floor, which gave us complete privacy in the balcony and jacuzzi. It is a couples only hotel, which is perfect for a romantic gateway and you don’t have screaming children in the pool area. The hotel has a collaboration with one of the trendiest beach clubs ‘FortyOne’ allowing your free sunbeds and umbrella during your stay. The owner is very friendly and helpful.
