Palazzino Di Corina is a great choice for Matala. Close to the village and the beach. The rooms are clean and spacious with a big balcony overlooking the pretty terrace. All the staff were amazing - friendly and helpful.

Mattress a little on the firm side but was still comfortable.

Beautiful building, excellent location, exceptional staff. Rooms were a great size, lots of room for bags. Facilities in the room and hotel were good. Breakfast package is an excellent choice, varied food selection made it more enjoyable. Location could not be better to the town, all the best spots walkable within 2-15mins depending how far you want to go.

Would have preferred a queen bed to two doubles pushed together. Also we're shower people so that too would have been preferred over a large tub. Still, these concerns are minor and we would still quickly return to this location.

The staff was fantastic! Also fantastic was our breakfast buffet. The food was great as was the large selection. Too bad that our stomachs were too small to allow us to try everything. Also, the location was great and the room extremely clean and well maintained.

The owners, Sofia and Leonidis are lovely and always wanting to please. The breakfast was great, the bed was comfortable and the location was perfect.

Excellent room and service, very good restaurant downstairs. Yet supermarket with fruits and cheese and everything next door, if budget is exhausted. Smash bang in centre and also close to Fortezza. Wouldn't list it at "cons" as it is to be expected at that lively street: a lot of action and noise all night, so get drunk too or consider to close windows and enjoy air-conditioning... We enjoyed the beach east next from the center: it is close to harbour/marina, but perfect sand and so much better than you would expect.

We had an absolutely beautiful, clean and quiet room. When my boyfriend fell ill and required medical attention, the staffs went out of their way to put us through a doctor on the phone, called us a taxi to the hospital and checked on us to make sure we are fine. In addition, we had one of the best meals at their restaurant.

The Palazzino is right in the heart of old Rethymno, making it the perfect place to be based for a stay in the city. The room was very comfortable and clean, the staff were extremely welcoming and the breakfast was great. Would definitely recommend to other travelers.

The jacuzzi in the bathroom was perhaps too bulky.

The hotel is right downtown, close to any point of interest, the location is just perfect. It has a lovely cozy style reminding the past of this town, nevertheless, the room was sufficiently equipped with all of the facilities you may expect from a modern accomodation. The staff are extremely kind and friendly. There's a restaurant attached to the hotel, where we had excellent fresh seafood too.

Restaurant manager was strange, tried to isolate me into a separate courtyard and made inappropriate comments / remarks that made me feel extremely uncomfortable including making advances at me. I felt like I couldn’t be rude or angry because we didn’t want to make things uncomfortable for our stay. It was a shame because otherwise this would have been an amazing stay.

The yard is lovely however I would never use the pool, feels too intimate with other guests so near. It is small and just for dipping yourself and cool down.

Very nice hotel, very friendly staff and the location was really good. Cosy bar nearby with order 4, pay 3 Breakfast was adequate, fresh made omelet was a nice touch
