Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe breakfast and dinner were plain but there are plenty of options for eating away at restaurants and bars along the seafront and in the town nearby.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The main desk was staffed from early until late. The room itself was small but comfortable, and the air conditioning was thankfully very good! The place is well-kept and everything needed for a comfortable stay was provided. The plants growing throughout the place are incredible. My partner and I loved the huge Cheese Plant especially!

AustriaThey could improve the coffee machine situation. Just one machine for all guests is too less .. and I would prefer Greek coffee / filter coffee compared to Nescafé taste (but now I am subjective, sorry). I could have anyhow a good Greek coffee at the pool, later one. So no worries.
The hotel is a quiet one, not so far away from the city center, with few restaurants near by. Our room had AC but it was not so needed. The bed was big and comfy. Breakfast was ok. The pool is nice. Reasonable prices. We could have late check in, as agreed. Everyone was helpful. For sure good value for the money.

NetherlandsSmall shower, for the price we paid we expected to have water in the mini bar, in general it was a bit expensive for what you get.. but Kos is an expensive town.
Bed comfortable, nice beaches nearby, close by mini market, entertainment at hotel was nice and cocktails were very good!!, affordable and good buffet, clean room. Tip: visit Greek Night at the hotel

United KingdomBar lady was not very personable/friendly. I asked the receptionist on the first day if they had any tea/coffee for the room, but was told'we are not 5 *, a no, sorry, we don't provide that would have been fine. Towels on the sunbeds very early, difficult to get a space. Very small shower cubicle, but plenty of hot water and good pressure,
Breakfast was as expected. Lots of tinned fruit! Would have preferred fresh. More cereal choice, but that's my preference. Husband said that the cooked breakfast was not very warm. Pool area was nice. Food purchased from the restaurant at lunch was good. Waiting staff during breakfast were so very kind, welcoming and friendly. Pleasant walk into Kos town, about 30 minutes. Nice beach across the road from hotel with sunbeds. 4 euros per sunbed a day. Good air conditioning. Quiet bar area in the evening.

Romania- very bad breakfast, I would even say terrible: poor quality food, uncovered, flies sat on exposed food. I have never met such a bad breakfast anywhere I have traveled.
- the hotel is nice, the staff is extremely kind, the room is very ok, the bathroom should be renovated but it is ok, it has everything you need, daily cleaning, towels changed every 2 days. I appreciated the 4 themed parties/evenings during the one-week stay, especially the Greek-specific party. The beach and a supermarket are very close.

United KingdomNo pool towels. Sunbed hogging was rife - people would leave towels on beds and disappear for hours and the hotel could manage it better with limited sun loungers. There’s space to add in more furniture and landscape the area better especially where it looks very worn around the road entrance. Bathroom was also cramped and could do with some modernisation.
Decent size room although it took the air con a while to get up to speed. Good location and very easy to get to the beach or the lovely beachside tavernas. It was walkable to Kos town but hiring a bike is a much easier option -€5 a day or €20 a week through the hotel. Pool was great during the heatwave. Breakfast was ok but could have done with more fresh fruit - the fruit juice is also super sugary squash.

IrelandWifi in the bedrooms were shocking, and I literally had to stand outside the door to send messages or Google anything as there was little to no wifi in the bedrooms. The pool closes at 7, which, in my opinion, is very, very early, and they stop serving food at 4, which is also very, very early, If you like cats, great, the place is covered in them. Every morning, we were woken up by cats having a fight outside they are everywhere
The bed was comfy, we had air conditioning in the bedroom which was well needed, outdoor bar was good drinks were cheap
