How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

There was some noise at night from the bar downstairs, but this is the case with most central locations in Athens, not the fault of the hotel and I have experienced in much worse in Athens.
I loved the staff! They were extremely helpful and hospitable. I loved the room itself and I liked the location! Everything was great and I would highly recommend.

There is a bar close by that is open all night so if you are a light sleeper that may keep you awake but we did not have a problem with it .
The room was comfortable and included complementary water and a bottle of wine . Great staff with brilliant recommendations for restaurants!

It sucks that there is no breakfast
The hotel is stunning. A good location, 14 minutes' walk from the center. The service is excellent, the employees are courteous and nice.

The location of the hotel was very loud at night.
Room was clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The metro was appropriately 7 min from the hotel.

There are some pubs outside the hotel which do create some noise but not loud enough to keep us awake until a car alarm kept going off one night but this is not a fault of the hotel itself
Decent location about 7/8 min walk from Omonia metro station and very good room with nespresso coffee machine, fridge, ensuite bathroom and TV with Netflix

Excellent hotel excellent staff But on Friday and Saturday night the noise from a local bar is excessive and continues until at least 8 the next morning Sleeping is a problem on those nights

The staff is what makes the place great, everyone is truly amazing and totally go above and beyond. Thank you Nikos Christos and Georgia and the amazing cleaning staff! Everything was great and the location is unbeatable

The bathroom design is open to improve. The surface is getting wet too much.
It was easy to walk to all attractions. The room was comfortable. Thanks to Georgia, he was very helpful. I really enjoyed staying there.

No shower door - bathroom gets completely soaked after every shower. Extremely noisy neighbourhood - nightclubs immediately outside playing loud music until after 5am.

No breakfast :( if bedroom goes to front it can be noisy due to bars with loud music and guests until early morning

There was very loud music all night long on Friday and most of Saturday night which affected our sleep.
Breakfast was not offered Georgia was excellent and willing to assist us with getting around and finding restaurants.

The elevator is not going to the last floor and we carried our luggage to tiny stairs, no help was offered. Front desk not operates 24h

The staff were so friendly and helpful :) Also, our room was always clean and we had a nice terrace. We had a kettle as well as an espresso machine, and a little living area with a TV.

The room has a slight chemical smell, probably the bedsheet detergent. There's a bit of stairs to reach the small elevator to the rooms, not convenient when there is large luggage.
Quiet for sleeping, room is equipped sufficiently for short stay, room is rather clean and well maintained. Stayed only 1 night, but location is alright.
