How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

A wonderful place, perfected to the smallest detail! Yannis is the perfect host, smiling and always ready to give the best place to go for eat or beach. His attitude towards guests is the best possible! The rooms are clean, the terrace is large with a wonderful view! Beach a few steps from your room. The place is at the end of Neoi Poroi and is quiet and peaceful! Parking is convenient and free! Everything was up to par! I will gladly recommend! We'll be there again soon! Fantastic hotel! A clean and cozy place to relax, done with great taste. Great location, close to the most peaceful spot on the beach. The host is extremely kind and has a great attitude towards guests!

We liked the interaction with the staff, very nice people, they helped us with our luggage. The location was excellent, close to the beach, close to taverns. Parking spaces were available.

We liked eagerness of owners and staff to provide us with important and interesting information about the area, which added value and pleasant moments during our stay. Environment is modern and cozy, fresh premises and new building. Great experience! We had a good stay and extended days here against our further plans. Definitely recommended. 👍

Brand new hotel apartment on excellent location. Lovely room with fabulous view of the sea and the coastline. The owner is personally looking after the reception and making sure the guests are served first class. 50 m away from a lovely sandy beach with shallow water, also very good for kids. Top class beach bar right on your doorstep.

Our entire stay was perfect. The hotel is new, the rooms are clean, modernly decorated and with all the necessary things. Located 20 meters from the beach. Every day the room was cleaned. The staff was very polite and friendly. Every day we enjoyed the beautiful sunrise. All praises for the hotel. A warm recommendation for everyone who wants to enjoy their vacation.

We liked everything! The design and the comfortness of the hotel and the room, the excellent service, the amazing location! You can easily spend a great amount of days there, cook and eat in the room, or chill in the balcony with amazing sea view! You'll be lucky to stay in this hotel ♥️

There was nothing we didn't like. Everything was amazing!
This is probably one of the best places we ever stayed in our life. Not only because of the rooms quality, but also because of the people who are working there! The design of the rooms is quite incredible, the showers and the whole feeling is vacation-like. WIFI was working perfectly, when compared to other apartments in this area, strong and fast. The kitchen is new, and fully equipped. The beds are comfortable, and as I wrote before, the total feeling was filled with Janis and Hristina (I wrote on Serbian, since I have no idea how to spell it on Greek :D) warm smiles and very useful tips. Whatever we needed, they were there. The beach is right there in front of the accommodation - 10-20 meters from the room doors. All in all - tiny details, and total coziness is what made our summer vacation amazing.
