Too few outlet, particularly USB ports for an ostensible 5 Star. Parking in an open lot (behind a gate and fence) seems a bit odd, when there is a parking deck under the hotel. Was nearly hit by a car exiting it when walking to retrieve my car.

Breakfast was excellent although the staff in the breakfast expected people after 7:30 while many of us needed to hurry for tours. Even with ta brief confusion, their hospitality and flexibility shown.

The location is great - it is on the beach and close by to tons of great restaurants, supermarkets and tourtist shops. It is however a few KM away from the old town so you will need to walk/taxi/motorbike to that more central location.

My main complaint is the internet at the hotel. It was really bad. terrible.

Hotel location was excellent. The buffet breakfast was really nice - great choices every morning that were rotated each day. the staff were wonderful and very friendly and helpful.

The bathroom was not very clean and dated. The shower head was in the middle of the wall and therefore the water sprayed onto the floor. There was also black marks/mould round the plug hole and bath. There is also a residential area next to the hotel which has a dog that barks from early hours in the morning and is very annoying. Also beds share a wall with the neighbours tv so this can be loud as the walls seem thin.

Helpful staff, beach is literally on the doorstep of the hotel, large variety of food for breakfast and lots of facilities such as pools both indoor and outdoor etc.

The Staff were welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere was nice, the food and entertainment was good. On site Gym, within walking distance of the Beach, local eats and Old Town.

location is walkable to the old town by 20 mins. you can easily get a taxi for €6 . Pool, beds are super and always available Beds on beach are payable and always available Towels provided. Breakfast fabulous. staff attentive

I did not like that we could not use both pools that are there because people get confused as some the outside area lays together with the Aegean Hotel… it was not nice to be asked to move from the pool by the personal. Also we did not like that the beds were not staying together but always moved apart. There were also no possibility to book a double bed for us. This was not so much comfortable.

We booked very late, so there might have been an element of our own fault in terms of price-to-value ratio (we had the most basic room). But otherwise we found 4 stars a bit overrated. Wouldn’t go again for the price we paid, but again, we booked late.

Guest room and all facilities where very clean and well organised, breakfast was good, and the pool area, although a bit small, enjoyable. Travellers mind you that the hotel is at the end of the city, which is good regarding noise but a downer regarding connection to the attractions in downtown Rethymno.

1. The bar was too expensive for what it was. I was not impressed when I asked for a coke that they poured from an opened 2/3 full 500ml bottle left into a glass and charged me 3. 50 euro.. and kept the rest of the 1/3 for the next victim. 2. The pool was open 10 to 6 each day with the sighting of on the grounds of health and safety.... no, it was staffing cost cutting operations. 3. The air con was not the easiest to use when you opened and closes the balcony door. 4. Beds had seen better years

Breakfast and dinner was not good quality. Dinner did not include drinks, not even water. Rooms could be cleaner. Walls really thin, we could hear our neighbours.

Taxis were a bit of an issue. Either have to wait at a rank or try and get the hotel to get you one, but they would never specify where they would pick up so someone would always nab it. Taxi to the town only 6 euros and taxis back from town always available,

Great selection of buffet breakfast and dinner. All staff couldn't do enough for us. Felt right at home! Great amenities near and the beach right in front of hotel with sunbeds for hotel guests. A lovely stay!

We liked everything though for someone such rooms could be not so big and comfortable.

Nice hotel with nice staff. Breakfast was pretty fine and tasty. Wifi is pretty good. Location is great even though not close to city center - if you like to visit Rethymno city center it's better to take taxi (it's cheap). Beach is near however you need to consider that sunbeds are paid.

i didnt have hot water in the shower…only warm.

nice pool, nice staff. the breakfast was good. the fitness club is good. the location is ok, a lots of restaurants and bars 5 -10 min walk. 25 min walk to the center- old town, taxi for 7 euros.
