The prices for food are too much, especially for Greece. The water in the villas private pool is very cold. You can heat it up for €100 per night, but keep in mind you’ll be heating up all the private pools in your row as they are connected at the bottom. A baby cot is €20 per night which also seems crazy considering the money payed for the hotel stay. Some parts of the resort seem very “old money”. I personally enjoyed the vibe, but it’s not for everyone.

Excellent service. Excellent spa. Heated pools. Beautiful clean sea. We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom villa which was huge. Every room with its own shower and toilet. Very nice. The view from the villa was simply gorgeous. We enjoyed the free boat rides to the restaurants at Elounda mare. The Old mill and the yacht club are above and beyond. Very good food. The six senses spa is fantastic. Wellness packages are a good deal. Overall a wonderful vacation with lots of relaxation.

    The weather

The service was wonderful the staff so friendly and nothing was a bother. Our suite was really special and led onto the beach. We had use of the Six Senses Spa which was amazing. The weather was not as hot or sunny as we would have liked but that’s in the lap of the gods. I would definitely recommend staying there. Helen and William Wright

It would have been nice to be able to walk into a village or have access to the other sister hotels, a walking path or similar. The restaurants were so expensive, rather ‘sterile’ and not as good as the authentic characterful ones in the village. As the weather was so bad we used the indoor swimming pool lots but it was a pain to have to keep asking for the sauna to be heated and no guarantee that there wouldn’t be someone else in it using your time.

the design and location were fantastic

Elounda Peninsula is a wonderful hotel in a majestic place. The staff members are ultra polite and ready to help, the quality and comfort of the accommodation paramount. It's not an affordable hotel by anyeans but it is certainly worth the price.

cold pool even booking.com was talking about a heated pool. this was extra to pay in the hotel. unfortunately even not possible due to electronic problems. most restaurants running from the hotel are not worth the money. there has to be done something about prices and offer!

I visited 3 years ago and the hotel has changed a lot after a major renovation. Elounda has many beautiful hotels but the main reason we always book the Elounda Peninsula is for the location of its suites. Where ever you are located you have totally privacy but within 2 minutes you have easy access to all facilities. Definitely recommended.

The service of the food is not very good. They made many mistakes in the orders during our 10 days. They always forget something (butter not there, bred not there, a cup missing..) The prices of the food are too high. We waited a lot for the food every time. The staff was too stressed every morning at the breakfast and they shouldn't communicate it. NOTHING in the hotel is free. For a high standard hotel like these we expected some nice attentions for guests like: offering a tea time or something for the children. You only receive 1 bottle of water per day per person, nothing else, even not fruits! We had to pay 15 euros for baby food of 1 year

The location is perfect. The room is very comfortable. The staff was very pleasant and friendly The quality of food was good.

Drinks a little bit too expensive. Local sparkling wine extremely overpriced. Supermarket price is 8 Euros per bottle. Champagne per glass in a good restaurant in Vienna is half price than in Elounda.

Great hotel. Great location. Perfect beach. Nice atmosphere. We had a fabulous time!!! We'll definitely come back to this special place

Room service was very average quality and expensive, so not good value for money. The Il Borro was described as a fine dining experience, but we found it to be again, overpriced and the food was nothing special, we dined there only once during our 10 day stay. Spa treatements were also overpriced.

The staff were excellent, very friendly and courteous. The breakfast was tasty and a very nice experience, again staff were brilliant here.

It is with great regret that we get to make the following comment regarding our stay at EP. We live abroad since almost 20 years but are still Greek at heart and have also Cretan roots. We know Crete and have been almost everywhere, stayed at all the premium hotels. If you respect yourself, need holidays, need privacy and quality for what you pay then EP is not for you as it was not for us. We could hear everything from the room next door and never got to sleep properly due to non-existent isolation. And this is unacceptable. The positive note was given by members of staff who tried their best in order to find a solution. Not everybody though as they are maybe nice people, but do not know how to handle clients especially in a luxus resort.

    Very nice breakfast.

The area was fantastic and the boating was amazing.

ok place to stay although the room side pools are in the shade making them pointless. Reception staff are rude and abusive making the stay worthless and pointless. Cleaning staff don’t read the do not disturb and charge into the room regardless. Reception staff try to make the billing as confusing as possible to enable over charging for drinks and food. highly recommend avoiding this hotel. The area of Elounda is a great area which we would return too.

The facility is definitely old fashioned and typical of the 70’. Air co very noisy (difficult to sleep in the night). Sofa very old. Unacceptable at these days the WiFi very slow and with a lot of problems. So at the end of the day very expensive for what the facility offers…despite the outstanding personnel…

Fantastic location, outstanding personnel very available at solving issues and helping. The reception staff was simply great. Waiters, housekeepers always smiling and helping. Typical outstanding hospitality. Food really good
