Chis, the owner met us to carry our luggage, show us our room and was readily available as he lives in an apartment one floor below the rental. The location was in a lovely neighborhood with great restaurants. In addition, it was easy to walk to all the main attractions in Athens. We were very happy to have access to a washing machine and a drying rack. The apartment was very clean and the sleeping area was very quiet.

What do I like? Let's start with our host: Chris was solicitous, yet discreet. We had excellent communication from a few days before my arrival right up to my departure. When I reached out to him,, he always replied promptly and was always very helpful. He sometimes came up from his place to show me how something works. He stocked the fridge with enough bottled water to cover my stay. The apartment itself is spacious, comfortable and beautifully furnished. Despite the unseasonally high temperatures (upper 20C), the 7th-floor apartment stayed pleasantly cool. From the living room and terrace, there is a beautiful view of the Acropolis and the sea. There is a lift, but it is not for the claustrophobic. The location is great: it is outside of the ancient centre with its many historical sites, but it is still in the heart of Athens. The Evangelismos metro station is less than seven to 10 minutes away. From there, it is an easy three-stop ride to most museums and monuments. You can also reach those same sites in 30 minutes on foot, giving you the opportunity to explore the shops and neighbourhoods along the way. If you time your walk properly, you can even see the changing of the guards in front of the monument to the unknown solidier.

Really, we didn’t lack for anything. I’ve never had a holiday apartment experience go smoother.

Chris was a fabulous host, offering advice and help every step of the way. Meeting to get the keys was simple, and getting there and getting around was easy because of the location. The apartment is nicer than the photos show, especially the view.

Everything at Kolonaki Penthouse is absolutely amazing. The host is very welcoming, attention to every detail, available, relaxed, always smiling and ready to help. Amazing apartment!! Great design, wonderful terrace with direct view on Acropolis, fantastic neighborhood! Seldom encountered an apartment so well equipped, down to details such as plenty of sockets and a freezer with loads of ice cubes that was much appreciated on that very hot summer day!! OK - it goes on… 😃Chris was just the perfect host: warm, welcoming, helpful & practical, yet without being intrusive in any way. Thank you so much again, Chris for this wonderful stay which made a perfect ending of our Greece summer vacation 2023!! Hope to be back soon..!!

We had an early flight and came in the morning; the check-in was from 2pm, however Chris saved our day as he let us in from the morning!!! The view from the appartment is just spectacular and the appartment felt luxurious. The location is really good and the district with a plenty places to eat. Would recommend for anyone!!!

The Kolonaki penthouse was very comfortable and nicely decorated. It was an excellent place to stay. The owner was extremely nice and helpful. The kitchen had drinks in the refrigerator like water and soda.

We got in quite late to the apartment after one of our bags was lost and we were a bit stressed and tired. Needless to say upon arrival all our worries disappeared. Chris met us downstairs and was a breath of fresh air. Incredibly friendly and helpful. The apartment itself was exquisite, great fit out and facilities and a lovely balcony with a nice view of the acropolis. The apartment is well located in a very nice area, if you're unlucky enough to miss booking this apartment, I would recommend still finding a place in Kolonaki as it was close enough to the sights but far enough away from the tourists rush to relax and is full of lush restaurants. Cannot thank the host Chris enough for how helpful he was throughout our stay, clearly knows the value of good hospitality and really makes a point of ensuring his guests are comfortable and well looked after. Hard pressed to think of a better host in all our years traveling.
