How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

There is noise at nighttime, which is the price you pay for this great location and was easily fixed by wearing earplugs.
BRILLIANT HOTEL. Friendly staff, amazing central location in the heart of the bar and restaurant scene, stylish rooms with a huge comfortable bed and great bathroom. Lots of personal touches and a delicious breakfast with healthy and indulgent choices.

There was construction noise from around the hotel and we heard it in one morning. It didn't interrupt us that much because we were out of the hotel all day.
The location is perfect, you can walk everywhere. The stuff were kind and helped us and even the breakfast was great! When we arrived at check in they upgraded our room to a bigger one with the Acropolis view and it was perfect.

Nothing negative, just noting that the entrance of the hotel is located in a small alley next to the main road which can make it bit little tricky to find the first time if you are getting there by taxi. Also, due to the hotel being located close to the night-life area, it can get a little noisy during the weekend at nights. The windows do block out most of the sound, but not 100%.
Everything was beyond our expectations, really! The location is conveniently located literally next to all the shops, bars and restaurants. Everything is at a walkable distance. The hotel (room and common areas) was extremely clean and tidy with attention to every detail. The room was so beautiful and spacious and the view was breathtaking. The bed, big and comfortable. The breakfast was lovely. Selection from a small buffet and some a la carte options. The staff was truly the most attentive hotel staff we’ve ever came across. Polite, helpful and they go above and beyond to make everything run smoothly. We really thank and appreciate each and every one of you for making our stay in Athens perfect!

Everything. The people working in the hotel were fantastically nice and welcoming, the location is perfect, the hotel is very clean. I’ve been to Athens many times, but first time at the Perianth. This hotel will definitely be my choice for my next stays.

We have stayed in many hotels around the world and no doubt that the Perianth hotel is one of the best hotels we ever stayed in. The location is perfect, the rooms are spacious and squeaky clean and breakfast is delicious. However, the hotels best feature is its personal and especially Athena who made our stay unforgettable. there was a lot of noise from 7 bars located outside the windows, with no noise cancelation or double windowpanes the room was supposed to be bigger but a lot of it was a corridor inside the room with no purpose
The staff were super friendly and welcoming, the breakfast was tasty and the variety was great. The location is very central and the view of acropolis is amazing

It wasn’t really a big issue, but our room was too warm, even when we set the temperature to 16 degrees, opened the balconydoor etc. the room was still warm.
